And yes, I expect 0-60 in < 3s for sure from the Top i4. That's no problem for an EV of that class. Full torque from the beginning, no annoying gear changes. Einfach los fahren
Einfach los fahren und ......... kaputtgefahren.

With that much torque and power you better watch it. Otherwise you will hug a tree. Lol

Nice, so it'll probably leak soon

Will it be the concept or production car? Or "concept" that's 95% production

what it'll be is a boost to my current M3s value. there will be many who don't like the new look and start panicking looking to snap up an F80/82 or F30/32 now in good condition so they can ride it out until the LCI comes around and bmw fixes whatever feedback they get. so yahoo! ha

I wouldn't even expect a fix with the LCI refresh. That would only set you up for disappointment.

And by default create a limited pre-lci car that would turn out to be the actual collector item because it was the hated one.

And yes. It's bigger. (On both counts .. bigger than the current 2 and the current 4 )
Unfortunately you are correct.

The 2er is the perfect size, it's sad they are killing it slowly starting with the Convertible.

What I see in the last video is a dull bloated barge which looks slow and wallowy.

Then you get the Porsche, which looks, handles and most importantly SOUNDS incredible!!

Pick one or the other because your hyperbole doesn't get me excited at all and borders on oxymoronic.
When I first saw the car I was at first sight WTF!
However I have come to like it having become more familiar with it.
It's the expectation to see how others will react to it. Will they have similar reactions and feelings before acceptance? Or will they reject its new ideas?

The inclusion of huge grilles is bringing back design controversy just as it did in the early 2000's. THE 4 is the perfect concept to highlight expected debate which will no doubt follow. Be Rest assured that it will.

So many BMW design elements right now look ABSOLUTELY AWFUL in photos but much better in person.

x2 front end
z4 front end
X7 front end

All look worse in photos than in person.

So I already know that the forum will in general hate it. That's as easy a guess as LEXUS taillights.

What I also know is that as you mentioned, after the initial shock , people will get used to the change and eventually accept it.

Remember the M3/M4 comp 666 wheel ? Everyone hated it when it came out.
I agree with you about those models. One exception is the new 7 LCI, which is just as ugly in person as it is in photographs.

Seriously. First time I saw it was on an Alpina B7. The press photos actually make it look better.

I think most everyone here realizes that Porsche builds a more focused sports car. The m4 is a luxury sports sedan (or coupe I suppose) that pushes the boundaries of what a large luxury coupe with usable interior space and utility can do.

The m4 can be used as a practical daily driver that can hold its own on the track. A Porsche (except suv or sedan model) is more likely to be a toy used mostly for recreational driving and at the track.

It's apples and oranges. The fact that the m2, 3, and 4 often draw comparisons to focused sports cars is a nod to bmw.

Looks like it lost a tiny bit of Camo on the Headlights since last time? Looks to me like they don't get notches, and the outline seems to hint at it not touching the Grills, so more of a 8er look than the G20?

Sure hope it turns out to be a small 8er, that thing surprised me totally IRL, looks stunning, didnt expect it from watching Youtube and Pics. Excited to see the 4er drop camo.

...so saddened I cannot get a 6MT in this... I'd pre-order now if I could get a G22 440i 6MT

No official 6MT for the full 4-lineup has been revealed? M level 4?

Lexus f**ked up their cars with their oversized grills. Hopefull BMW won't do that with the upcoming 4er.

You're absolutely right. It is apples and oranges now. Better to compare to Lexus, Audi and Mercedes from now on. My apologies.

Interesting because, while I don't like the huge X7/7 Series grills, the X2/X4 and Z4 look pretty good to me. I think that the Z4 is one of the best looking roadsters on the market.

P.S. I didn't care for the 666's when they came out and I still don't care for them now.

At least the overall design of the Lexus incorporates that large grill cohesively. The BMW grill designs look like afterthoughts.
