Love it. I have the same set up minus the lip and sides. Makes me want to add them.

Not all of them. If you choose the all season run flat option you get a 225 square setup.
Wow, good luck ever hooking up in that.

That's why I insisted on a model with the staggered setup.

I had a 535d xdrive before the M340 and I hardly ever remember the tail coming out and now every time the road is wet the rear comes out on every sharp turn when I give a little gas. Its fun but it does it too easy.

Tail happy even though it's x-drive? I have the F30 340i RWD and the rears are 255. It can get tail happy in the wet, but not really in the dry.

Put an M340i in sport plus and it will drift

Yes it is the same on the F30 LCI sport plus mode it has DTC but the grip on dry is pretty good most of the time. Even if it's a little wet it's better than all seasons with 255 summers.

Requires skill to drive hard with the non staggered set up, very tail happy when wet.

Detuned or not, there was no way I wasn't going to get those lasers!

I was between the X3 M40 and the M340 xDrive. I was open to one of the two, and let my test drives make the decision. I wanted an engaging driving experience, sporty ride and fast. I found all this and more in the M340. The X3 M40 was an awesome vehicle, definitely fast and handles incredibly well for a small SUV.
I test drove the X3 M40 second. After I came back to the dealer, my first thought was - 'I need to get back in the drivers seat of the M340.'
I really liked the new interior and even the shifter. The grill did not bother me. I felt the M340 had a sportier look also, the X3 M40 looked too muted.

I'll definitely echo the others that you can get the tail lose pretty easily if you want on the M340. Quite easy on wet roads. But the xDrive and LSD make it manageable.

I did the same thing. I drove the X3 M40. It was nice. I drove the M340I. It was SO much better.

Wasn't hard deciding.

The Good: The car is quick! The ride is smoother than the X3 and the tech is mind-blowing. The car is VERY tail happy to the point that it feels like it needs a wider tire.

The bad: iDrive 7 doesn't have a calendar app.

Any questions post bellow
Nice! I was thinking of getting a white one with black interior but the one I saw had the cognac interior and I fell in love with it. It helped that the dealer had End of Year savings.
