Yep spot on modern era BMW
Yeah it's ironic that BMW's goal was to be less conservative and more brash, but the design changes ended up making it more generic in terms of design trends.

I like it. We need something different other then the same designs BMW has been giving us. This is something completely new so people will need to get used to it. They are taking risks on their designs for the future.

Yeah definitely interesting. Like on its own if you told me it wasn't a BMW, I'd say it looks.. like a pretty typical modern sports coupe with a crazy grille. Not offensive on its own, but not going to make my neck snap. I'd probably guess it was Japanese or maybe a new Italian startup. It's more about how much heritage and traditional design philosophy is being thrown away here that gets me.

It’s better than the hopelessly bland and boring G20 that is virtually invisible in traffic. I probably see several each day on my commute but never notice them. I can’t remember seeing more than maybe two since launch and BMWs are everywhere here in the land of Amazon and Microsoft.

I guess we have to see the new 4 series in 15 days at the Geneva motorshow , and then we can have a better image on the M4 as well :

The Germans, Japanese and Italians were allies during WWII.

I'm sorry to say but this design is just awful. The designer seem to be absolutely disconnected from what BMW enthusiasts look for. The BMWs are supposed to be a combination of class and performance. This one is too flashy which will get old real fast. Disappointing for sure. Hopefully these renditions are all wrong and the end result will be a sleek, classy high performance M3/M4. I hope the design team starts listening to people and stop smoking that crazy stuff. Different is not necessarily better.

That looks absolutely disgusting and awful. Embarrassing design.

But hey, that's just my opinion.

Others are welcome to disagree and buy one or two or three.

I won't.

In terms of the renderings so far, its the best i have seen. But agree that it is still terrible compared to a good classic design. So its like best of a bad situation maybe

All BMWs are beautiful from the factory, regardless of era, model, trim or color. Seeing them means that someone is having a pretty ok life. What is there to hate about that?
