I actually kinda like the front end. Hopefully they don't water down the features that make it work. This car needs the chunky chrome surrounds and tucked in slats to give it a 3D look with some depth (not just flat like they're pasted onto the front end).

That profile view isn't great to me though. Looks like an A5 and doesn't immediately scream BMW. Not a fan of this kink style they're using on this, the X4, and the 6GT.

I think this is a car that will look 10x better in person

wow. I'm definitely gonna buy a new car very soon and it'll definitely not be anything that looks like that.

I think the front end works well on the coupe body. I agree that BMW needs to keep emphasis on the front end to make it work. The ///M treatment is what I want to see now.

Not mad at the grille

Problem will be putting a plate across it, will completely lose the whole concept

I was thinking the 8 was too expensive but looked fantastic.. I'll wait for the 4, it'll be a mini 8 for 6 money.. i was wrong. I'd rather pay the extra money on an 8 than drive this beaver float looking thing around. Will the 8 be the last good looking Bmw Coupe? I think so.

Risky move if they move forward with such dynamic change. It might pay off if they pay homage to heritage. Maybe a little less plastic camaro...

Why still buying an 8 if you can have this for less!

IF? This IS their way forward. Gotta accept reality now. It isn't going to change.

Reserving my judgement for when the road version is released, if the grill is reduced the 4 will look stunning, I do like the everything apart from the over blown grill.
very sporty and elegant at the same time until you faced with somehow a very aggressive kidney grill.

Interesting.

Kill the chrome already.

It's great to know I am not only off of the list, and effectively no longer under arrest.

Stupid design..you need to make the center lower intake duct larger for better cooling, not the grills.

Reality check: the grill will not be reduced. This IS the car.

The overall body aesthetic is so... pedestrian. This looks like a fucking Infiniti!

The curves and the edges met with such purpose in previous BMW designs, this however seems like a rip off of Lexus and Infiniti. WTF. Meanwhile, the South Koreans at Kia are actually building interesting designs (Stinger!!)

I could have lived with the grilles actually, but every design cue here is to appeal to the lowest common denominator.

The Z4 and it's frog like front end was a give away that BMW was about to go full stupid; they have no design inspiration. And, behold.

Yeah if they're going all out...they gotta go all out. It'd be disappointing if they watered it down too much and it became a "what if?" car.

I see an Audi A5 coupe in the side view at the back and a Lexus IS modified back.

and that Grill, I have nothing to say!

This is the concept and how would the real one turn out?

Well I am so glad because I was thinking RS6.

Just as I imagined it. It looks slanted, w a nice texture to the grill. Renders were pretty far off. Glad it looks this way. Seriously looks great. Very pleased w how it came out. M3's tend to look way better so I cannot wait.

I LOVE BMW and the NEW GRILL... MAKES THE F80/82 look old and geriatric. :happy anim:
