I know they've been out for more years but I see C43's all the time in Toronto. To date I've seen two M340i and a few dozen 330i G20's. I get revved at a lot by C43 owners lol

9 months of ownership in Northern VA and still I've only seen one other M340. I've seen several Maserati Ghibil's. The Ghibil looks dated and cant compete with the BMW in terms of tech or performance even though it costs quite a bit more.

330’s are probably fast enough for most people. Also at least in my neck of the woods there is never a 340 on the lot. I am guessing those that want one probably order.

The question is do we want more? The answer for some of us here is yes! When I was in high school in the late 90s low 14 and high 13 second cars were pretty darn quick. It's plenty to get you into trouble and more than enough to safely merge and pass. We are spoiled today. My first car did 0-60 in 15.4 seconds

I've still yet to see an M340i in my area. Plenty of G20 330i's however.

Actually had a interesting moment yesterday, finally seen the first M340i (what I thought) on the highway I got excited as maybe we would have a owners wave or something , as she passed me I noticed it was actually a 330i.... I guess replacing the grilles is a thing now?? That 330i had the M340 grilles... is that a upbadge?

I saw my first on the highway yesterday heading north on the turnpike from Miami. It was white like mine as well and also tinted.

I live in BMW infested Fairfield CT and I have not seen an M340 on the road yet. Have not seen one at Bridgeport BMW, Darien BMW, or Greenwich BMW.
That said, I routinely see a half dozen M3's/M4's a day. They are everywhere. On my dead end street alone (10 houses), there is a blacked out M3 comp pack and a 530 at one house, a Z4, an X7 and M550 at another, an M3 comp and 330 at my house, an X5 and 330 acorn the street, a 7 series barge next door, and the high school kid a couple houses down drives a 320. My M3 has been turned in and I have an M340 on order. Tanzanite blue II. I LOVE the color but am nervous. I'm a silver black or white guy. The kids are telling me life is too short to drive a boring color.... so I'm hoping this blue is as nice as I think it is. I got the cognac interior. Enough with the black already. While we are on the subject. In Fairfield CT, the Range Rover sport has replaced the X5. They are everywhere. So much so that if I were going to buy one I would have to think twice. Funny thing is we know few families that have them in both the 6 and 8 cylinder model. All three say it is there first RR, and it will be their last. Hmmmmmm. |

The straight 6 has a smoothness, a sound and a personality that the other engines don't come close to matching. The sedans have near perfect balance. I was considering an X3M this time around. I drove it. It was very nice, and very fast. Then I got in the M340. I think BMW has really done a great job with the M340. It reminds me of the harmony of the e39 530. If they offered it with a stick I would have bought that, but honestly this automatic in this car is really quite good. Always nice chatting with you guys. |

Agreed, I wasn’t a fan of the F30, but the G20 is beautiful. Congrats!

Chrysler parts on the interior. Pedestrian design. But it's got a Maserati badge, so people act impressed.

I saw another M340i this AM heading South on the turnpike in Miami. Second sighting in less than a week.
