hello all,

I am new to this forum and just got an M340i. I am still breaking it in but wanted to eventually start using the paddle shifters as I have owned quite a few cars with manual transmission. I have never had a vehicle with them so I am not sure how to use them properly. I was wondering if there is a good tutorial video you guys have seen that you can recommend. I searched YouTube but the ones I have seen so far are not that good.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Drive it exactly like you would a manual. Upshift when you would get on the clutch and shift up a gear and vice versa.

No clutch, but you toggle the gas pedal in Sync with the paddles to get the most out of it.

And you can use the paddles with gear selector in D or S. In D, the car goes to M when using the paddles but goes back to D when you don’t use it for a bit. In M/S, it stays in M (if I remember correctly). Also in M/S, the car doesn’t upshift if you’re using paddles. It will bounce off the rev limiter waiting for you to do it.
