Got soft update to 03/2020.40 and the only change I have noticed, is all apps disappeared, and personal settings wiped out.
BMW genius suggested to reset IDrive by pressing volume button for 70 sec, so far no luck.
Does anybody have same issue and how it was resolved?

As your settings should be saved in the cloud, you're going to need to hard reset your iDrive.

Google it or look earlier in this thread. Others have done it to much success after 3/2020.

I'd imagine by end of July...

Just had mine updated by the UK dealer to 03/2020. Was on 03/2019 and had to do a factory reset due to losing all apps. Finally have native spotify though plus everything like Apple CarPlay seems to be more stable.

Hi just been reading this thread and see some people from the UK on 2020 update has anyone from UK had an OTA update or have these had to be done at dealer?

Both my phones Iphone XMAX and Samsung s10+ neither have a software update available, my car currently is on 7/2019.38

Only had the car a few weeks.

Got 3/2020.58 last week and found out Welcome light, door handle light, light carpet no longer work when approach the car. Tried checked/unchecked all boxes but no luck. Light swich is on Auto though.

I’m in the U.K. and haven’t seen an OTA update. I did go to the dealer in January and got updated to 11/2019 which sorted a few issues. Waiting patiently (or not) for OTA updates to start.

Did you get the OTA update btw or the dealer updated it?

I’m still waiting for mine. Though I’m not sure I want to update and lose all my coding. Also, I don’t have any issues with the old version I’m on. So yes. Let’s see

Same here, S10+, app shows a notification saying I have 10 days to update, but when I click the notification it stays on loading forever, and when I close/open the app nothing... Such a teasing

It takes a while to load to the car from the phone gotta be patient. And when it does you will lose all your coding

I don't understand the eagerness/excitement over getting updates. My 3/19 build is on 7/19. Everything works the way it's supposed to. I could care less about whatever upgrades I'm missing. Seeing how many get updated and have problems, my OTA update is off and when I do go to the dealer in the fall for the next oil change I will instruct NO updates.

I also don't care about updates that do nothing, but this one is supposed to have Android Auto, and I want to stop using a phone holder to use Waze since BMW traffic information is useless where I live

I had the seemingly common error of brake fluid change due in 2001 on my 330e this week and the software has now been updated to 03/2020.58. Since this has happened all my menus now have orange highlighting, including the arrow on the nav map regardless of what driving mode you are in. Does anyone know if this is a bug? Before, if you were in electric / hybrid / adaptive it used to be blue and only went orange when in one of the sport modes. Not a big deal but I quite liked it all being blue.

I got the 11/2019.70 update the other day and installed it last night OTA. Took about 20 mins.

Going to see if I lose any pops and burbles like others have been suggesting and will report back later
