Sunny day...windscreen
Washed and polished the car today, took it out for an essential run and whack!
Look at the results - a good clean cut! Anybody else had this? Can they replace G20 windscreens at your house? I am hoping I don’t have to take it to a centre!! |

Had to go to a centre as the cameras need configuring for parking and driver assistance accuracy reasons. Needs one technician to drive and the other to configure on the laptop whilst on the move. |

I got the dealer to replace my windscreen after 6 months of driving new car. One deep scratch on the passenger side and dozens of small scratches on drivers side.

there seems to be alot of people with the G20 windscreens scratching or breaking more than the normal reading through the sites....... is there s known issue with these screens, mine is due in 3-4 weeks and starting to get a little worried about this

I have also read best to get dealer or a very good company, as it needs not only new sensors calibration (Cameras), but also if you have HUD it needs the special film in the screen itself

Other than being in a position to demonstrate Key Worker status, I think you're at their mercy. Nothing against Autoglass, but with the tech incorporated into the G20 screen, shouldn't it be a dealer only replacement?

One assumes the insurance companies are aware that an additional ADAS calibration garage visit is required and includes that in their approved cost? |

Bmw estimated the bill to be around £700!! Autoglass is their only ‘approved partner’ and if you want to go elsewhere you get a contribution!! Crazy! |

In all honesty I'm sure that they're better at fitting windscreens than a main dealer, it's the one thing they specialise in. I'd try and push them for a quicker appointment as that is far too long a wait |
