M340i Adaptive Mode - why can’t engine and transmission be made more responsive?

I would like to be able to use my 2020 M340i’s Adaptive Driving Mode but, when doing so, the engine and transmission responsiveness is dumbed down as in Comfort Mode. Am I missing something? Is there a way of getting better engine and transmission response as in Sport but with the dampers still being adjusted automatically? As it is, I have configured Sport Mode to “Individual” so that (as in my previous 2018 440i Coupe) I can make the engine and transmission feel faster to respond whilst leaving the suspension and steering in Comfort settings.

Yeah I have mine coded to start in Adaptive - however, I don't really notice a huge difference between that and Comfort. Like most people here when alone I'll immediately move to Sport+

My belief (borne out with experience in my 330i) is that the ‘Adaptive mode’ will behave like comfort as you drive normally. Put the foot down and it will adjust to behave more like the ‘sport’ setting.

I use adaptive in my M340i most of the time. Drive easy and it's like comfort mode. Floor it, or drive it hard around winding hilly roads, and it's like Sport Mode. (but not like Sport Plus.). I think it takes a while to learn your driving style though, but Adaptive suits me fine.

Hi,

I switched to Adaptive mode on my '20 M340 as default mode. Just like @Tam the Bam & TikiTourer , I have found it to be quite responsive when I want it

So in other words, it's adaptive.

In my G05 x-5, the adaptive was much more aggressive and responsive if I used navigation (it was documented in the manual, so I'm not making that up, it's not just a "feeling" ). Since it knew when turns were coming it would turn up the "sport" well before I got to them. I don't have adaptive in my 430, but I'd think it would be the same in your car.

I also coded to start in Adaptive. It does "adapt" to your driving style. However, I put the transmission into sport program to add a little more responsiveness when driving normally.
