2023' m340i w/MPE = Uneven Quadtips?

I got the active autowerks quad tips, and it annoys me that they sort of pointing up, looking uneven, instead of a even straight forward tips. Anyone have a similar setup and was able to figure it out? Thanks

Since you have the LCI, I also would recommend getting the LCI diffuser from Infinite autoworks

Do you have the m performance exhaust? Fitment is a little worse on the MPE compared to standard. I'd suggest bringing it to an exhaust shop so they can tack weld them in place since the hose clamps like to come loose causing the tips to point downwards.

probably a dumb question but if we weld them and in the future, the mpe has a crack and you need it replaced… would we be able to still take off the welded quad tips?

I didn’t think the diffuser would be that cheap ; I’m definitely getting it in the spring.

And yes , I do have the MPE exhaust so I think you’re right about that.

That’s funny the mechanic mentioned welding them on but I didn’t know if that would be like a permanent thing, in case I want to trade In the car and out the OEM tips back on.

Thanks I think I will weld them on then when I install that rear diffuser I appreciate it.

Also side note, I just started getting rust on the inside of my exhaust tips, like a lot? Is that common? How do I remove it?

My right side was wonky in that they were literally brushing up against the diffuser. Fitment isn't perfect but that's to be expected with slide-on tips. If you want perfection a muffler shop could weld them and make adjustments to your liking.

To fix my right side I did some good ol' fashioned elbow grease. I just threw a rag over them and literally put all my body weight on the right side to bring down the exhaust pipe just a little lol. Hey, it worked

I've had similar issues on past cars. Take it to a muffler shop, they'll straighten them out quickly and it won't cost much either.
