Purchasing and PCD delivery time line?
Hello everyone,
I'm doing a PCD delivery and just trying to figure out how soon I sign the sales agreement before the PCD? Car is built but hasn't shipped yet. I'm locked into interest rate for 60 days and am hoping car will be ready somewhere during that time frame. Thanks! |

I'm not 100% sure but I think incentives start the first Monday of each month which would be October 4th. I'm not expecting much but dealer said there's always something.

I did it 3x and everytime I signed the paperwork the day before and flew out the next day. The first time I got all the incentives offered that particular month by BMWFS when I made the initial deposit and placed the order so the incentive was locked in. The the other 2x I only got what was offered by BMW FS that particlular month when I brought in the final check before flying out. Each time the incentives were different. But it was always something

The next obstacle I'm a little concerned about is financing. I got locked in for 60 days once car was built on 8/25. If my car is delivered by 10/25 it won't be a problem. If there's some long delay and it isn't ready before then and rates go up then that will be a problem. I got to think car will be ready before then but who knows....

Just found out any car built in Mexico has to be processed through VPC before a delivery date can be scheduled through the Performance Center. I was hoping to get a date scheduled once it was on the ship but apparently this isn't the case for cars built in Mexico.

Ugh!! That has to be so frustrating. When did you find out there was stop sale? Is it for the audio issue? If so, did you opt for the standard stereo system or upgrade? I'm trying to find out if there's any stop sales on my car but nothing is showing currently.

Some info I learned. If you have a Mexico build, car has to process through VPC In Brunswick before you will be given a delivery date, which is about a 2 week notice. My car was processed through VPC today and I have an October 29th delivery date.

Has anyone with a Mexico build and PCD been able to add port installed accessories? I want the MPE but was told they can't do PIA for PCD. Seems kind of ridiculous that it isn't an option just because you want PCD.

Not sure exactly.. but confirmation email I received today from PCD said they won't install any accessories but some can be installed at port... just not sure which ones?
