I think it will completely depend on what sort of trips you are doing. Lots of A road and motorways will be kind on the tyres. My 3400 miles have been mostly short trips around town. Lots of stop-start, lots of junctions, used the electric a lot until the Oct recall so lots of quick blasts away in electric which no doubt all hammers the tyres. Probably only been on the motorway 2 or 3 times since I got the car in June,

Jim_330e, you said you were on Pirelli P7s? Willougs talking about Pirelli P Zero. Are these the same? If not then perhaps that's a factor.
If you (willough) get 3500miles from just 1mm of tread, front and rear, then that sounds good and I might go for those P zeros on the rear when mine expire shortly. |

Doesn't seem to be any logic to it.
A right mixed bag of experiences across all sorts of different setups. As matter of interest @ADIUK, when was the car delivered? Maybe its something that's been rectified with newer ones.

Mine was Feb 2020 build.
I purchased it from BMW in October with 1700 miles. Like Jim I have only done local journeys (mainly electric) making deliveries to Care and Nursing homes. |

I’ve got a 320d XDrive with Bridgestone Turanzas T005 all around and I just changed my rear tyres(255/35/R19) they were running low at 3mm at 12/13k miles so I ordered a pair of Goodyear’s Eagles F1s for when they were ready to be changed. En route to work yesterday I suffered a tire pressure loss warning on the NS rear tyre(had a screw in there) so took a trip to get them changed a bit sooner than expected . They were worn down the middle pretty much, I kept them below the recommended 39 PSI at around 35psi and they’ve worn horrendously down the middle. I have a G30 with 86,000 miles (majority motorway mileage) with the original tyres from factory (Eagle F1s) and they’re just about due a change on the rear sitting at about 2mm.
I’m putting it down to the Bridgestones, never would I have thought I would need a new pair before 16,000 miles with 95% of that being motorway driving and with an XDrive set up. I’ll be sticking with Eagle F1s moving forward |

You might wish you'd stuck with the Bridgestones if JM13RS's experience was anything to go by (read the whole topic).

All I can do is provide an update in 4000 miles, hopefully I won’t start with ‘I wish I stuck with the Bridgestones’ In all seriousness, I’ve always used Eagle F1s (started with the asymmetric 1s) and they’ve always done well! If I burn through this set as quickly then it’s definitely something to do with the set up of the car, only time will tell I suppose! I’ll also be reducing tyre pressure a little and see how I get on. I’ll be keeping a closer eye on the rears moving forward. |

Be careful with the lower pressure. Some of the wear patterns on these tyres (another topic as well) indicates there could be some centrifugal growth going on, as users have dropped pressures and can still get the middle wear. Low pressures won't help that condition.

Just to be clear I have given the BM quite a hard time ( it's a new toy) , I just thought I would share my 4k escapade. I also did not opt for X-drive as I do enjoy getting the back end out every now and again... That is the fastest I have ever consumed a pair of rears. I am sure my next set will last longer, the fronts are also eagle f1's but they look ' like new' compared to the rear. Don't worry about tyre life, enjoy the car, that's what I tell myself |

I’ve been keeping an eye in my tyres as I noticed the rears were getting low. (320i msport on 19s)
I’ve got Bridgestone Turanza on mine. I’ve had the car from 26miles to it’s now 11600m. The vast majority has been driving like miss daisy. They now look exactly like those pictured at the start of the thread. 3mm-ish on the edges, barely legal across the middle 3/4. Tyre pressures always correct according to the idrive. I’m deciding which replacements to get. Moving towards the Goodyears at the moment. Definitely not replacing with the Bridgestone |

There’s only a few quid in it between Goodyear Eagle F1 A3 and Pirelli Pzero (BMW approved).
Not sure what to go for |

I agree about not mixing RFT with normal tyres.
If I stick with RFT I will be going for Goodyear F1A3 but am debating moving to Michelin Pilot Sport 4S or Cross Climate +. Thanks to low mileage during Covid, I have a little bit more time to consider my options. |

All seems a bit random. My '21 has Pirelli Pzero's. Just whatever they can get cheap at the time I guess.
Same as you though, dunno if thats good or bad. Time will tell. Just happy for now that it's not Bridgestones.

I’ve got Bridgestone Turanza non RFT on my 330e Sport, the car has now done 1500 miles and tread is on 6mm, no idea what they were when new.
My previous car was a 320ED, which had Michelin energy savers which lasted close to 40k miles, is there any reason not to use energy savers on the 330e? |
