Does anyone with the 320d know what the rev limit is for this engine? The redline is shown at 5000rpm, but mine will generally change up at about 4300rpm in lower gears with full throttle even with the auto gear lever in sport mode. I've read the rev limit is at 4400rpm, if so why is the redline shown at 5000rpm?

I haven't tried manual mode, just wondered if anyone had seen 5000rpm? My old E90 320d could never reach the redline either.

4k seems like the redline to me.
At 5k the power tails off.
1.5-2k is the best work with all the torque.
2-3k is sufficient mid-range punch
4-5k is peak power but it starts to die off.
