Rear door sill protectors/trim

Does anyone else’s 3 series G20/M340i have sill protectors on the rear doors?

Mine doesn’t, only the m performance ones at the front.

Not sure if this is BMW keeping the cost down but I’m certain my F31 335 had them.

I want to get something as the paint is getting scratched from little feet.

Has anyone bought any aftermarket ones/genuine if they do any? Or fitted any paint protection strips?

Thanks

I think they were removed in the F3X era - my 4 Gran Coupé didn't have them. I have 2 children so understand your concerns.

Maybe BMW could supply ///M slippers to be worn when entering or leaving the vehicle?!

Hi. Dont suppose you managed to find a suitable solution for this?
I've had a look around and found various options, however none have inspired me with confidence that theyll actually do a good job, or fit properly.

Yes, adoption!

Seriously, no, not found anything other making sure the kids step over the sill. It’s a bit poor really.

If you just want to protect the sill area do a search for helicopter tape, it is just a good quality clear self adhesive tape in different sizes..

I have used it on my Superb to stop me scuffing the edge of the sill when it was in the garage... plus you can remove or replace it...

Being clear it does not hide the colour

Try a local auto wrapping company, they’ll have suggestions and install professionally.
