Continental winter tyres fitted which definitely makes driving and more importantly stopping better.
I live in a city by the docks but the temperature oftens hovers around freezing so winter tyres make sense. This is the car park in our local park where we go for socially distanced walking and other cars were struggling but the 330e was fine |

Yes, mine is X-Drive and fitted with Pirelli Sottozero 3's and it was absolutely amazing in the snow - far better than I ever imagined. It just went everywhere I pointed it, never lost traction once. Best winter tyres I've had (didn't like the Sottozero 2's so much but then again they were fitted on RWD 440i)

Had to go to the office this week. Cleared the drive and road outside Sunday night and made sure I had a full charge (330e)
Getting off the drive was easy and I found electric power better at pulling away than engine. The regen braking however caused the car to twitch! Switched to eco pro and was a lot better. The roads were bad near me including main roads. I heard on the radio that the A14 heading to the M1 was a challenge This caused me to chicken out and swap the 330e for my parents GLC. My parents live in a close and there is parking at the top of the hill. Could not get to the top due to loss of traction. I left my car opposite their drive while I cleared the snow off their car. The GLC just gave me the confidence with moving off, I took it really slow and it felt sure footed vs the 330e. Along the A14 I noticed some poor person in their G20 was in the ditch 😞 Picked up the 330e this evening and as a surprise my dad had given her a clean inside and out. It was nice to pick her back up and the GLC proved to be a comfy cruiser! |
