Looks like Clemson's defense has shown up. They've got to keep it going and adjust as necessary.

LSU's offense has shown up as well it seems.

Going to be a great game!

Clemson came out to make a point. Lots of football to play but Clemson looking pretty good. I still think it will be a close game.

Bad news for Clemson: LSU woke up and Terrell forgot how to cover.

Was a great game, happy for my Tigers! Clemson will be back... Lawrence was a bit off but he's the real deal and will only continue to get better next year.

It’s the SEC so I expect this will just get brushed aside, but boy would this be beyond stupid if it developed into something:

LSU had a great QB and offensive coordinator this year but Alabama will rule the SEC again next year.

Every year is a new year... wouldn't be surprised but you have to play the games. Losing Burrow will definitely hurt and if Brady goes, so will that... We'll see but Bama will be the team to beat as long as Saban is there.

As for the money, a stupid move by OBJ. We'll see what comes of it. Some stories say it was fake money, some say it was real. If real it could result in some penalty but certainly not like a deep-seated pay scandal for the athletes... Who knows where it will go.

For now, we can enjoy the title until August, then everyone is 0-0...

Bama has their major offensive weapons returning except for Tua. The backup QB got his reps in and did well and will only get better. Defense is never a problem. If OBJ wants to give some of his money to players, so what he is not a booster. If he is a booster by just being an alumni then NCAA rules need to be revamped because its out of hand.

Forget this particular incident with OBJ. Do you seriously think it’s not against NCAA rules for a college athlete to accept cash or gifts from someone, whether identified as a “booster” or not?

Great thread. Notre Dame fan here. Actually, my son plays OL for the Irish. Travelled to all home and away games in 2019.

12 right? just kidding, the work load for an athlete, especially at a school like ND is unbelievable...

Edit: never had the chance to attend a game at ND but it’s on the bucket list

A lot of folks don’t understand the workload. He returned last week. Already in class and lifting. ND athletes are on 3.5 year graduation cycles. 16-17 credits per semester.

Home game in South Bend is always a great trip.

Very cool. How were those games against Mater Dei? Did your son get an offer from USC? Looks like ND is at USC end of year next season, short travel for that one.

Yes, they offered late though. Their new OL coach, Tim Drevno, is a solid dude. He recruited my son when he was at Michigan.

Nevertheless, my son played youth and HS football with a few USC athletes.

Anyway, looking forward to another season.

It is against the rules for a booster, but OBJ should not be labelled a booster just because he was an alumni. He is not on the coaching staff and he does not work for LSU.
