Yup I saw the QBE one, but what is tempting me with MB Insurance is maybe you will get better service and they deal mostly with premium cars which may make a difference.
I guess we will only know if something happens , god forbid , lets hope not.
Another interesting thing is that BMW insurance underwritten by Allianz wont repair your car if anything gos wrong with the computer/electronics, and seeing as the whole car is a computer haaha, that may not be good, so I need to check that with MB Insurance.

"Failure of computer or similar equipment Excluded."

Just got a quote from MB insurance, seems very expensive compared to NRMA, but comparing apples to apples is difficult
MB Agreed value $81000 , Excess $2000 , $2750 a year , so $229 a month
NRMA Agreed value $81000 , Excess $850 , $1957 a year , so $174 a month .

MB has 4 year new car replacement
NRMA has 2 year
NRMA includes car rental when you take Comprehensive plus
MB includes car rental when you take ($80 or $45 platinum or prestige)
MB include chips repair to windscreen
MB includes replacement cost of windscreen

So I guess for an extra approx $50 a month , you get double (4 years) new car replacement
Windscreen replacement

Have just skimmed over it so need to analyse what I really need and the likelihood of this actually happening.
Obviously the insurance differs for different ages, suburbs, agreed values etc.

I just heard back from MB, he’s asking for a copy of my invoice. Is this normal?

Thanks man!

That's odd about the invoice request then. I either got a great deal and he wants to get one himself, or I got taken to the cleaners and wants proof there's such an idiot out there.

I'll ask him why.

I have to admit I hadn't spent much time deciding on the colour before I ordered. I was trying to find existing stock so I'd say "don't mind what colour" but when I ended ordering I just blurted out "Blue!".

Looks nice though, I could have easily gone the orange too.

Interior was a pragmatic colour choice. The kids aren't babies anymore but still filthy animals sometimes.

I just asked the BMW Parts guy what most people order , and he said
1. Rubber boot mat :- $300
2. Front ($165)and rear rubber matts ($109) = $274

Maybe ask to throw these in instead of umbrella

Just got those OEM mudflaps I ordered, I asked the BMW parts guy why they dont sell them and he said because it makes the car too low , government regulation is at least 100mm ? from the ground , the 330i Msport has sideskirts as well so makes it lower.

AArgh, oh well I will fit them and see if they scrape up my driveway.

$300 for a boot mat! I just washed an old bed-sheet that will fill that role

I've dropped hints to the dealer that my gift pack better grow because of this delay.

Admittedly I put in I had a parking fine in the last 3 years hahaha, maybe thats it and my wife would drive it 5% only
60% No claims bonus and the below spec, which I think is nearly similar to yours

1. Comfort package
2. Visibility Package
3. Harmon Kardon Sound system
4. Gesture Control
5. M Sport Package
6. Black Leather Vernasca Seats (Contrast stitching blue)(MANL) Sensatec dashboard

So not sure, maybe I can negotiate for your price
Let me know if you go with them and what you got , then I can haggle

I had my wife driving 5% too. And specs are similar except I didn’t get the laser lights. May have mentioned this before: I don’t need them and they would cost a lot to replace. So maybe insurers look at that (expensive glass sitting out at the front of the car)?

I bought a Bowden's Own Snow Blow Cannon a few weeks ago, and these extras recently when Repco had a sale. This car will be very clean for the first month or so till I lose interest in being outside in the cold.
