I've just installed 11/2020.50 OTA on my 320d. On the previous version you could set it up so that at a particular temperature, the steering wheel heated up when the heated seats came on. That functionality seems to have disappeared in this update.

Mine has 11/2020.50 installed from when it was delivered, and have that option, so would assume it should be there after the update. You have option to turn on heated seats and/or steering wheel when outside temp is below a set amount.

Have you updated the apps as it’s a separate app. Should re-appear after updating.

As of today, my U.K. spec. M340i is now on 11/2020.50 installed without any issues.

I just downloaded 11/2020.50 today. Really annoyed that the HUD issue isn’t fixed so raised with BMW customer services.

Apart from that, the process was smooth. Alexa integration working but only had time for a couple of quick tests but seems a nice addition.

Update showing all done on my Sept 2020 330i Sport touring and showing11/2020.50 but none of the new features working. BMW connected drive not really helping, I've done service updates, rebooted idrive etc they now tell me I need to take the car for a long drive and if that doesn't work I have to contact the dealer. Kinda makes the idea of 'over the air' updates a waste of time!! I've asked connected drive if they could prompt my car to update again but not heard back from them yet - bit of a pain

I have completed the 11/2020.50 OTA update, the first one i have been able to conduct in over 20 months of ownership (others have been dealer updated) and have found that the heated steering wheel heating option has disappeared from the system.

I have updated/reset the apps and it is not there, the seat heating option is but the steering wheel option to set to come on at a set temp is not where it was previously. I was running the 07.2020.50 previous to this update, and it was there!

Any advise on how to “recover” this option would be appreciated.

I have 11/2020.50 and these settings for me are both in the Rules for Air Conditioning app. (with weather etc)

How long did you have to wait from upload to update. Mine is still waiting to do the update after 2 days of waiting.

When i look in the rules for air con there is only the seat heating! The heated steering wheel option has disappeared. I can “hey BMW” to turn on the steering wheel heating, but the option to set the temp is gone.

I had uploaded from my telephone to the car for a day, still had a message saying it will upload when possible (similar words). Read another review on here that mentioned the battery has to be fully charged. Put the trickle charger on and once finished the update happened and completed. Albeit with issues of steering wheel heating missing, as mentioned in my earlier message, and many other things i had to reinstate e.g. mirrors to fold when locked, interior lighting changed. This never happened with dealer update.

I haven’t got a trickle charger and it sounds like the update doesn’t really offer a lot plus the HUD issue isn’t fixed. I think I will wait until the car thinks it has enough charge from driving around to instigate the update. Thanks for the info

As you may have seen from my post above, I have had this exact same issue. I've updated all apps, rebooted the iDrive and gone on a long drive and the problem persists. I also can't find the lap timer option.

The laptimer appeared in my apps automatically a day after the update.

Ironically I do have the lap timer option, no use to me. The heated steering wheel option is!

I have discovered the answer. It's a real pain but I can confirm that it works. The remedy is to Reset to factory settings CAR>SETTINGS>GENERAL. It does mean that you have to reconnect phones and redo music and all of the other fiddly stuff, but I now have the joint seat/steering wheel heating restored.
