Hot transmission tunnel

I noticed the other day the transmission tunnel was warm on my leg, I only do short runs and try to keep revs low until warmed up

Noticed again today, very warm, more drivers side, but alongside the gear-lever and forward of it

Looks like a call to the dealers is in rider, anyone hear of an issue with the M340 getting warm at the transmission?

Heater ducts? Are the rear settings to heat the rear?

You won't be the first to notice some heat due to the above, and in warmer weather.

It’s not as warm towards the rear seats, so don’t think it’s the heating but will turn it off to check over weekend. I have read that it could be an exhaust leak, will look under th3 car to check for any obvious damage

Car went into dealers as the front splitter was removed by a crap temp crossing, I asked them to check on this, said they couldn’t see anything but wanted a booked appointment to verify

In between the booked appointment and initial visit, the centre console became as cool as you would expect

Full visit, no issues

Cynic in me says dealer fixed in free visit and wanted a warranty paid for inspection...

Just glad it’s no longer an issue

Hi everyone,

I charge my 330e using the provided 3-pin charger around 2 to 3 times a week. However, the fuse on my wall socket has blown twice in the space of around a year. I then went into my car's settings and found that the limit was set to 16A whereas the fuse on the wall socket is 13A. Could this be the reason? Would my problem technically go away if I set it to 10A?

I think the granny charger maxes out at 10A, so setting the car any higher shouldn’t make any difference.
