I've recently upgraded my iMac desktop computer for the latest model with Apple's M1 chip. Transferred all the software over from the old iMac but now find that Download Manager will not open. Anyone else had this problem? I've not got DM on my MacBook laptop and cannot find it to install on there so I'm a bit stuffed at the moment. Any help out there would be appreciated.

I'd log onto my Connected Drive account and download the latest DM version from there. Did it recently for my SatNav map update.

Thanks Pete, but I can't find anywhere in the MyBMW app (successor to Connected Drive?) from where I can download DM.

Go to your vehicle on Connected Drive.

Click on "Vehicle Details", and on the left, under Your BMW, click on "Map Updates". Then on new page, scroll down to Manual Map Update and click on "To Manual Map Update", and then this should take you to a page where you'll find "01 Download BMW Download Manager" for macOS or Win10

Even the 'updated' version of Download Manager is buggy as anything on my Intel iMac running Monterey (12.2.1) - constantly crashes post-login and during download. Fortunately, work laptop still running Catalina and works fine there :-)

Same here - cant use download manager on M1 MacBook with Big Sur. Won't work in crossover either but I downloaded a free trial of parallels and it worked fine in the virtual windows 10. Bootcamp is not an option with Apple processors.

Same here - MacBook Pro M1 on Monterey. Took around 20 attempts before the download completed.

Does any have BMW download manager for windows because I cant find it on my ConnectedDrive page. I subed myself for MAP Update(version on my BMW 550i is from 2020 and I need to upgrade it. Thx in advance

Try logging into connected drive, click on the person icon (circle above a downward curve), select Vehicle overview, Map update, To manual map update. You should then see download options for macOS, Windows x32 and Windows x64.

You are a legend. I had been searching for this information for manually updating maps on my Australian G30 540i, and somehow the specific download link was not easily available.

Used your UK based link above to signin and download Windows Maps downloader and can download map updates to my car. Thank you!
