Car Starting Problems.

I've had an issue this weekend where my 2021 M340D wouldn't start. BMW assist came out, jumped it, checked battery and run full power diagnostics but found no fault with battery reading excellent health. Everything fine over the wekend and covered around 50 miles without problem. Come to start this morning and same thing. Dash lights come on but nothing from the starter and no error messages. Now waiting for BMW assist to come back out. Anybody else had this problem and can share their resolution?

I had similar in a G01 X3 (2.0d) it was a prelude to starter failure. At least that's what they told me. For good measure it happened twice.

They came out, ran diagnostics again and gave me a new battery. The most charge it has held over the last month is 60% so let’s see what happens now.

Well, at least they did something. I hope that replacing the battery resolves the starting issue for you.

I had same problem on my 2012 520D new battery cured it so you should be ok.

Quick update - New battery seems to have cured all my problems. Running sweet and big bonus......software upgrade kicked in and now done!

Was the battery covered under warranty?

Yes it was and a genuine BMW one.

Yes it’s MHT and it was the battery in the boot, ( the main one ).
