After watching over and over again I did say there was not one thing that caused the main pile up but Giovi and Sainz were an indirect cause adding to the mayhem with their blind crazy speed and should receive some sort of penalty for causing an avoidable accident..

It would be good for F1 fans if Grosjean and Bottas had a no holds barred tete a tete but in public perhaps on a news site..Odds on that Bottas wouldn't attend.

But hey ! It doesn't matter anymore . As we know It's already too late for MAX with his 3 DNF ..He has nothing to lose anymore in the WDC !
And that he will show as well ...At least if his PU is OK .

All we can hope for mate is : Suspense in the front of the race ,with close overtaking , and hopefully HONDA can make this possible ASAP !
But meanwhile the HONDA PU investigation is still going on ...

With Sochi coming on Sunday week Max will have another chance to burst through at the start to the long charge to turn 2 all being well with the Honda PU.
It's a strange track with quite a few L-shaped bends that could benefit the other one with their trick steering so I would say a good start would be beneficial for him and hopefully Alb will be on the ball too.
I would like to have seen Horner's face on Sunday when Max finished with him telling him what he thought of his failing PU

Of course,I hope Horner has learnt some basic rights and wrongs from Max of what can pass off as a decent PU to get him to the end of a race.A fresh PU with reliable ancillaries is not asking a lot from Max!

Sochi is awesome, one of my favorite tracks to drive in Codemasters F1 2020.

That game is fantastic too for any F1 fan. It looks fantastic in full HDR on my ASUS PG35VQ with everything maxed out. They also include older cars, so you can rip up the tracks in the BMW powered Williams cars from the early 2000s.

There was some fire according to Merc but really what was HAM playing at standing on his brakes and the throttle?? Trying to level the brake temps on both sides because one was lower than the other and BOT still let him past just before the first corner,what an obvious charade.

According the Mercs brake-temp sensors : HAM got 1000°C + degrees on his brakes ,not smoke only ,but flames of fire were visible at the startgrid .
The fire brigade was already in a state of alert !
