BMW M340i with JB+

A friend of mine installed my old JB+ module on his M340i Xdrive. I am amazed that the same module could be used in 3 different states of tube for the B58. We tried it on a F46 440i, an X3 M40i and in the M40i.

The power gains are noticeable and nowhere near as harsh as it was on the X3 M40i. For $200 you can't beat it.

Appreciate the post Jay , i also just recently picked up a M340 and was wondering if the new B58 variant would not play nice with the JB+ .

Is there a noticeable power increase or even exhaust note?

As long as you can locate the wires to attach it to and it fits it should work. It just fools the computer into thinking it is at a higher altitude. A flash tune that you can apply quickly via Bluetooth that is optimized for the car is still the best option or a full jb4 with Bluetooth so you can change maps quickly and easily without having to pop the hood.

It's not my car. Found on youtube.
It seems that he did not use the launch control.

  • Even more impressive considering this is just a piggyback

So would JB+ be better value than a JB4 if you want a quick, relatively mild tune? (No downpipes, intercoolers ect ect, no tracking, no racing. Everyday driving with a enthusiasm and just go stock with a piggyback)

If so, this is one heck of a 200$ well spent. Would anyone who had a JB4 or thought about JB4 OR has a JB+ share their thoughts?
