Can't wait to see this form as the GT3 contender next year... not to mention the DTM racer. These cars will have presence like no other.

I am still a bit insecure with respect to the vertical arranged slats of the "lungs", but on the other hand a horizontol layout would not match at all into the design conecpt IMO. Overall the latest catch of the US version appears very promising to me.

As for the length and wheelbase, there is only so much the M GmbH can work with. There is first the series car that needs to be as big as they believe mass audience will like, no consideration given to the M variant whatsoever. Then the M division will see what they can do from there.
The M is not and will never be built the way they were before. First few generations, the M car was for Motorsport homologation purpose, literally race car being built backwards to road car form, and thus legitimately stand for "Motorsport". Every generation, the M lost the Motorsport-ness a bit. From the F8X on, the M is purely one version of sportiness treatment given to a luxury compact family sedan, and has the best in class marketing drive it. BMW is pretty good, in fact better than anyone else, in doing this. Maybe they're just too good and that's exactly why today there is no standalone M sports car - when there is only so much resource and budget, they have to go to the most profitable business - M treatment to a family sedan/coupe. Personally I wouldn't complain about the dimension of the car. I have this mindset - if I ever purchase one G80/82, it will be the replacement for my 540i as the daily commuter and the grocery getter. How great that would be! In the end, satisfaction is all about expectation management.

Aside from the hideously exaggerated twin kidney grille—-this car looks 0% like a BMW. It's also very bloated.

Not sure I like the term "whining"...but maybe you are making it in jest. My issue with the reflector is not a new one...some dumb ass in the gov't somehow decided that requiring a front yellow reflector was going to make us all safer on the roads. Is that REALLY what keeps us safe at night on the roads? Please.

My friend and I are both F80 owners. Both of us were planning on buying the G80. Not after we found out about the grill. Good job BMW!

Choosing not to accept it means moving to another brand. It really is that simple

Will you accept the car as a viable option for space in your garage if you are unhappy with the design is the question.

Exactly, accepting is not agreeing. Make your point of disagreement but then accept it as reality and make your decision and move forward. That is good life advice. Lingering in anger is not helping your situation.
