Having a near 6 year old car, that recently needed the key battery replaced, my just over 1 year old car needed both key batteries replaced, the former a Ford, the later a BMW.
I’m thinking that the tailgate function on the fob, sooks a lot of juice from the battery, thoughts? |

Why would the tailgate function suck more juice??
Edit - you mean because you have up hold it to close? Marginal, I’d say. More likely due to the massive variation in CR2032 cell quality. |

You would think that BMW would’ve ironed that out. I don’t have the comfort access (I assume that’s keyless entry) on my poverty spec car, so haE to use the buttons on the fob for just about every function |
