Does the M340i have enough tire?

I just picked up my M340i RWD and have it outfitted with the 19" rim and Pirelli P-Zero performance run-flat.

I have only done a few foot stomps (freeway metering light onramps) to get familiar with the driving dynamics but I instantly thought to myself the 255 rear tire was barely keeping its composure with all the available torque.

I'm wondering if other M340i drivers are feeling like a slightly wider tire might do better, and if so, what are you looking for?

My old 2011 Lexus IS-F has a 255 rear tire and the OEM rim could fit a 275 wide tire... the wider tire had a huge benefit off the line and in the corners. So I'm looking to try the same thing. Thoughts and opinions?

i'd go to a 10 inch rim for a 275 tyre, might be a bit baggy otherwise. what does the M340i have? 8.5 or 9?

its probably doomed to run 255's then.

if you cant get a wider rim then a set of Ps$s non-run flats would be better than pirelli run flats in terms of grip

I’m thinking the upgrade from Pzero to the Pilot Sport 4 might do the trick for that extra little bit of grip.
