Is this one of the early-run overpowered versions, or the post-detune version BMW is now releasing?

Next gen M's will be incredible; at least based on the capability of this car.

I still think this pre and post tune is a bunch of BS.

The reviewer in this video said the G20 is on a Double Wishbone suspension in the front - is that true? The 3-series has traditionally been on Macpherson struts.

BTW- There is someone who recently ran the 1/4 mile with a bone stock recently purchased (so the recall would have been performed with the lower horsepower if true) at a drag strip and ran a 12.08 second 1/4 mile @ ~113mph - this was on all season tires too!

I initially thought this as well...but weren't there dynos posted somewhere? Wondering bc the M340i xDrive is a great one quiver for my skiing needs and a potential replacement for the M4 at a more reasonable ED cost, presuming that option available in about 2 years. The full blown Ms are going to be so pricey I'm looking for workarounds...would love to hear it's bs. Wouldn't surprise me if true tho.

Thinking the same Guessing people here feel the need to justify paying mid $60's or more for a non "M".

Had one as a loaner; it's a nice car.

I'm to extreme; if I did not have my F80
And I was getting one of the new 3 series I'd get a 330i loaded.

I'm either all in M3 or super compliant peppy clean 330i with some super quiet touring all-season tires!

The feeling sound and power of an all in M3 is hard to describe. My brother says the handling defies the law as of physics. On the gas off camber and feeling planted!!!

Nice reply I had the 330l as loaner myself, just rather vanilla for me, also felt larger. Actually thinking about grabbing an M4 before the end of production, followed by an outside chance of an M2 Comp. Just because of the smaller size. On the other hand...Sometimes "Quiet" is not a bad thing.

I felt the same way. Very vanilla and very little spirit; it would make a comfy commuter though.

It's a great car, but I promise you the handling does not defy the laws of physics!

Same suspension design as all the other G20 models, MacPherson struts.

Many get confused by the lower "double pivot" reference, for the front struts.

I've driven several 911's; by far one of the best handling platforms.

Lord keep me blessed...

The M3 with Michelin pilots on a warm day is damn impressive!!!
