Dealer review - or not

I picked up my new i4 M50 yesterday. This is my 4th all electric car. Chevy Bolt, Tesla M3 dual LR, Hyundai Ioniq 6 and now the i4.

In order to save 5% I went with a dealer other than the shop I have used for 20 years. This was the only dealer in my area who would offer a discount.

I am very happy with the car. Maybe the nicest car I've owned and I have had many nice cars. I got what I wanted and saved $5,000 so I really feel like complaining is a bit off. That being said, buying from this dealership was just a dreadful experience.

So now I have the car and the dealership is in the rear view mirrors. Yay! But The dealership & BMW are sending the obligatory requests for reviews both public and private.

I am inclined to just ignore all the review requests. After all, the dealers who would not discount likely are doing a better job at customer service because they can afford it.

Thoughts?

I might respond to them and let them know your concerns. Maybe even write the review and send it to them first.

Are you talking about post-purchase BMW survey directly from BMW, or dealership asking you to write a Google review (or maybe both)?

If BMW survey, address any concerns directly with the dealership so they can make it right and then complete the survey. You haven’t shared with us what the issues were with the dealership however.

If asking for Google review, I wouldn’t waste my time either way.

Do you see a path to conduct business with them again in the future? If not then move on. If so then reach out to the General Manager to share your concerns.
