How do you remove the center console trim that holds the push button start for an M340i? Also where is the best (cheapest) place to buy replacement trim that goes around the start button?

Some people use hot glue on the button, cool and pull, some of the chinese kits use a putty kinda like sticky tack.

There is an old thread in the cosmetics section where multiple people share results, method of removal/installation of start/stop button as well as the power button for the audio.

I used the putty to get my start/stop off, though it took probably 30 attempts for it to work.

I need to replace the trim around the start button. Trying figure out how to remove without more damage. I’ll check YouTube.
