How much HP can JB4 add to M440i with only catless DP and no tune?

As title says. I can’t tune the car since DME is locked and therefore I was told I can’t even use ethanol. Under these parameters, I don’t think I can run over Map 1. Therefore, how much HP total can I gain with the catless DP and otherwise stock build?

sell it and get a M4/M3/M5 CS

M3 / M4s sell for 130k+ here, while M440i was $98k (in US currency)

you will spend more money tuning, breaking, diagnosing, modifying, tuning, breaking, diagnosing, modifying -> it never stops

before you know it you spent >30k and still not happy.

my advise either be happy with the car or buy a M car.

but your life your money, do what you want.

i think MAP 1 not much gains, not sure if worth the hassle, best to modify to get better maps.

Oh I don't disagree with you. I'm just saying, as someone that loves tuning cars, I imagine the day that I trade up to an M3 I will begin thinking about how I'm going to tune it.

The tuning bug is the tuning bug. Hell people tune the GT3.

Huh? Your points are nonsensical. Yes tuning a 340 or 440 doesn’t make it an m3 or m4. But if you can spend 1-2000 dollars for 50-80 horsepower , that’s a pretty decent ROI. Obviously that doesn’t change the suspension or brakes. No one needs to spend 30k and I agree spending 30k on a m sport car in upgrades is dumb . It’s prob dumb to spend 30k to upgrade an m3 as well but whatever makes someone happy I guess.

The M cars are just as tuneable or even more so than a 340 so idk what “ these cars are already tuned” means. By definition every car is already tuned. The s58s have as much or more headroom from stock than the b58s.

Ya these cars are already fast enough to get thrown in jail very quickly stock but you’re framing it in a pretty nonsensical way.

Thanks for that.. lol..I was going to reply to him and you saved me the key strokes. For the record there's nothing inherently special about an m3. Realize that for some people it's not a good fit. A lot of them are driven by stay at home moms who just went in and got the most expensive 3 series.
