AUX port?
Has BMW completely done away with the physical AUX input? Are we now forced to use Bluetooth as the only means of audio besides the standard AM/FM/satellite?
I ask because I’m a sound engineer and it KILLS me to listen to terrible lossy wireless audio. No matter what anybody says, yes, there is a HUGE difference between a wired and wireless audio input. Every time I have a loaner, regardless of the model or speakers it has, the sound quality is horrible because it’s all wireless. Also, semi-related but I swore I read somewhere that the newer models have an actual hard drive in them that you can copy your music to and play it straight from the car. Is this true or did I dream this up somewhere? |

I also miss the 'aux in' availability in my G20. My F30 had one which I used with my portable Fiio DAP/DAC. The sound produced was fantastic.
I now use a micro usb drive with Flac files which sounds good. I also stream music using Amazon Music which is HD/UHD. My G20 does have a hard drive, however its capacity is very small so I don't use it. |

Also, CarPlay actually uses WiFi and streams in apple lossless ( assuming that you have those on your phone ) |
