Where is the power dome?

Imagine what it will ingest with that face!

Love the wheels.

Man that M3 looks beastly. I'm afraid the M3 might look better than the M4 for another generation!! (Wanted to go M4 this time)

Anyway - loving the looks overall and can't wait to have this in the driveway one day

Looks awful. The bmw grill used to have a look that had a smirk or grin, now it just looks like a sad or angry Audi.

They better pray the new "Kidney Fangs" catch on. Running the grille down into front ground fx takes massive balls of steel. Risky bizne$$$$$

There is a 'bulge' on the hood that is tappers towards the sides. Could be a set up by BMW, as the leaked hood only had air scoops in the front, no power dome. It's all M marketing for $$$ anyway.

Count down to September.....

I hate that I have to force myself to like this car. This reminds me of when the E65 came out, followed by the E60, the true Bangle era cars. Eveyone hated how ugly they were, and they were right!

Does anyone like those cars now? Did anyone "get used" to them? I bet if you asked people to vote on the least aesthetically appealing BMWs ever the E60 and 65 would be right up there.

I think in 10 years we'll look back at the new M3/M4 and laugh about how ugly they were, and wonder what people were thinking.

This is one ugly pig. I don't like how the headlights go far out into the fenders. The proportion seems off to me. It's not the worst part of the front though. At least the wheels are nice.

Hey, I drive an E88, not exaclty a design coup, so to each their own. I would wager that you're in the minority in liking the way the E60 looks.

It was controversial but it's been winning praise as each year goes by.

This is just one of the most recent articles that stresses how clean or fresh the design was.

https://www.cardesignnews.com/cars/i.../39767.article

On the otherhand the e65 did not age gracefully but it's very difficult to do that with larger cars. Especially when you have to take all the design regulations into account that has come into effect past the 15 years.

Have to see it real, but for now, it's not growing on me. It's a huge change.....we have to digest it.

spot on! we all know that F8Xis the only m3 gen that will never increase in value regardless of how refined, fast and powerful it is compared to the previous generations. The resell value on these cars are ridiculously low and they are still not moving.

To be honest I think the 4 Coupé looks better than this grill... And that's saying a LOT.

Don't know what they are thinking!

Big old kudos to BMW for doing something new!

Yet, I remain flabbergasted by all the hate comments over a product no one has ever seen. And I'm not only talking about fotos, talking about in real life with own eyes. Seems ppl never learn.

Eagerly awaiting the "I retract my earlier comments..." period.

When the next generation is due to be released.. after the G8X is finished, we can all look back at this thread and reminisce on the banter/hate and arguments that transpired

Why are the photos so low resolution and potato quality.

I remember these exact threads about the F8X series, and the new Supra, and just about every new car that’s leaked or announced.

In 2 years people will be saying different things.

EXACTLY! Were BMW designers supposed to remain stuck in the past? So much unnecessary hate and I'm willing to bet once a test drive's taken, the matter of looks will be secondary. I LOVE the look of this, it's refreshing to see difference and a distinct visual difference in terms of model hierarchy.

I like the new side mirror shape. It looks like a wing on each side. Looking great so far.
