G20 M340i in Malachite Green Individual with Cognac interior

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Hi!

My 2021 M340i xDrive Individual (MHEV) in Malachite Green arrived today at the dealer. I placed the order in March this year, but due to factory closure (COVID19) and individual paint (+4weeks) the delivery has taken a while. But now it’s here (at the dealer) and looks fantastic, I love the green color. The dealer will install 20” BMW 795M Ferric Grey M Performance wheel set. Next Friday the car gets its Ceramic coating paint protection revealing the paint in all its full glory. It’s a 2021 model, manufactured in July, so it should come with 48V MHEV...

IÂ’ll post some pics here. PS. Sorry if some the images are upside down, IÂ’m uploading them from my iPad. I donÂ’t seem to be able to fix the issue.

Wow, what a color!!

FYI, that first and last photo are upside down. Only the middle photo appears to be situated correctly.

Congratulations! Perfect color combination, and it's going to look amazing with the 795M wheels.

Cognac interior? Or indvidual tartufo?

Looking forward to more pics!

Wow that is an awesome green! Sort of like a blend between Oxford and Dravit, and killer classy with the Cognac interior! Enjoy in good health!

The Malachite green metallic color has a dark base tone and an expressive, light green/grey metallic shine in direct sunlight. It’s multi-faceted shade, combining green, black, bronze and grey tones.

Very nice!! Glad you replaced the wheels - they were taking away from the look of the car. New wheels are stunning.

When I ordered the car, I was quoted 5770€ (Individual paint option) + 700€ (for the mirror caps in the same color), but when the final invoice came the color was ”only” 3440€ (incl. mirror caps). Prices listed exclude tax....

Maybe worth mentioning there are two Malachite Green metallic colors. One is called Malachite Green (205) and the other Malachite Green Dark (S10). Two different paint codes. Mine is the lighter one, paint code 205.

BMW Switzerland quoted me CHF 4'090.- so around 3600 € for an individual color. It matches...

It's expensive but the fact you can get access to very nice colors is worth spending the money

BMW has some really cool and impressive colors. I wanted a color that is elegant, expressive and tributes to the green from late 80s (3-series) and early 90s (M5). 95% of the BMWs in Finland seem to be either black or white, so my green makes it to stand out a bit more. Hopefully you find or found already a color you like.

I currently own a M340i G21 in Portimao blue and I'm thinking about a G20 next year in Marina Bay Blue (standard color for the M5)

I'm fan of blue and I would like something unique... Let see!

By the way, how do you know that the new 2021 models have a 48V MHEV ?

To the best of my knowledge, BMW did not share any information on that? I know that the M440i will get it and I did not know about the M340i...

Firstly my car’s model designation in BMW order system shows MHEV (see attached photo). There are no other visual indicators in the cockpit, but the center digital display has a page showing car’s energy management. Not sure if this shows MHEV setup (see attached) or if it’s same for non-MHEV versions. Anyway, the BMW model designation confirms its MHEV. Also there’s a few posts, incl. BMW US confirming M340i also gets it for 2021.

It's interesting! I still can't find information on internet on that but I fully trust you

Can you take a picture of your engine? I'm going to do the same and we will see whether we see differences!
