Abbreviations & SiriusXM
Hi,
I have a 2020 M340 and I just coded car so that iDrive now has a very courteous female voice with a British accent (see my post on DIY & coding sub-forum) In so doing, I've run across several items that I need the assistance of my fellow BMW enthusiasts from Europe: • I can't access SiriusXM using voice commands. Is some other named used? • What does n. t. a. stand for? • What does SDAR stand for? Thank you very much!

SDAR is probably satellite digital audio radio? Only NTA i know is national television awards. Let's wait for someone from the UK to answer

I haven't coded it on my G20 but for my F30 at least switching to the British voice caused the same thing to happen when using Sirius XM.
I think it's a known issue since Sirius XM isn't offered on the UK market so when BMW was "translating" the text for that market they didn't include that part. I believe n.t.a stands for "no translation available" On my F30 I kind of knew where everything was so I was still able to use Sirius without a problem. |
