If you've got the bucks, drive your dream cars
Check out this Road & Track driving event: http://www.roadandtracklive.com/
$3500 for 1 day, $6400 for 2 days, driving: - Ford GT - Noble M400 - Lambo Gallardo - Porsche 997 - Ferrari F430 - Lotus Elise - Dodge Viper - Corvette Z06 - Porsche GT - Panoz Z If it was $1000, I'd postpone needed home repairs and do it, but this kind of money is way out of my league. |

They forgot AM DB9 or DBS..... Out of that list Porsche 997, GT & F430 are the only appealing cars to me.....

Nice list of cars, but that price tag is ridiculous IMO. No thanks.

I did the World Class Driving event, and that was $1,500 to drive 5 cars (430 Scuderia, Gallardo Superlegerra, GT-R, Z06 & R8) for half the day on back country roads. If this is for the entire day and is at speed on a road course, that price isn't all that bad. At my event we got up to "go directly to jail" speeds, so doing it on track where the police aren't going to arrest you and you can see around every corner would be a major plus to the enjoyment factor of pushed any of those car around the track.

Too expensive. With the way the market is today you can just save the $3500-$6400 as a down payment to buy at least one (or more) of the cars on that list.

This one is cheaper (base event $1495 including taxes and fees) and has a pretty good lineup too but you only get to drive 5 cars.
Their cars: Alfa Romeo 8C Audi R8 Callway C16 Ferrari F430, 599GTB and Scuderia Lambo LP 560, Gallardo, Maserati GranTurismo Mercedes SLR http://worldclassdriving.com/ |

When you say Porsche GT, do you mean the Carrera GT? Cause that one is about double the price of the next most expensive on that list. It just seems out of place against these other sports cars and entry level supercars.

This event appears to be designed for enthusiasts with a "money is no object" point of view. It's clearly out of the question for the vast majority of us. The $1,500 event is just a little out of reach for most of us. If it were $500 to $1,000, I'd be tempted, even though I can't afford it.
