Signs of a bad transfer case, diff, trans?

Anyone have a failed transfer case? And if so what were the symptoms?
2020 m340ix
75k miles

I don’t know if it’s xcase, diff, or trans.

Symptoms currently facing:
- CDA713: FA-CAN, message (flashing, 0x1F6): missing
19 Transfer box
2 errors
- 021924: Flexray, external cause (group error)
- CF54D3: Signal (data drive train 2, 230.0.2) invalid, receiver LMV, transmitter DME
440216: Coupling function: Emergency function has been activated

The last code specifically says to replace xcase according to bmwfault.codes

Other symptoms:
- upshifts are slightly jerky. Jerky may be the wrong word. But it’s like I can feel the gears disengaging and then engaging again. And it’s very noticeable. Not smooth.
- uneven power delivery? When speeding off of a stop there is a slight vibration and stuttering feeling while accelerating
- when I left off the throttle for 3-4 seconds, and then reapply throttle, I have to be very very delicate or it’ll like rev and kind of kick forward. This is the most noticeable symptom.

Any help or guidance would be helpful.

Some additional info to add:
- last transmission oil change was done 2 times. 40k miles and 60k miles. Got it done trynna fix this exact issue.
- haven’t gotten diff fluid done, or tx case fluid done

Thanks

Square. And yes for like 30 seconds which ended up killing my trans 😭. Got it rebuilt by pure drive train solutions

You may have just answered your own question. But you’d have to get it to a shop and checked out to really know.

I guess. Wasn’t dry but def was not wet either when I drifted. Also more like 1 min worth. I think my case is a one off case though

What I have found however is that the car is far more bareable to drive when it’s stage0 time on MHD and XHP. Any stage tune on either platform makes the trans/xcase/diff whatever it is act weird.

I also have the code:
440216: Coupling function: Emergency function has been activated

I notice low RPM vibration, not toocrazy but I can feel it in the seat, through the car, and steering wheel.

I took a drive with the Forman at the dealer and he couldn't feel it and brushed off me mentioning the code that its likely just a "ghost code from using a 3rd party app".

Same symptoms here!
And same response from the shop foreman.

But on bmwfault.codes it says to change the transfer case.
Just dropped the car at a Indy shop.

Would love to know what they say. I’ve considered taking it to an Indy but haven’t had the time to not have a loaner.

Keep us updated.

What ECU tune are you using? Did you have a transmission tune, too?
