Ballsy for sure - I would guess .01% of people that own a CS have the skill and internal fortitude to drive the car on any road like that - let alone that road! Fun to watch though…..

That car is not even close to being a widow maker.

I don’t think this guy will spend any time in a nursing home!
And I hope I’m wrong, but couple of leaves on a narrow twisty road, your car under steering and you are done.

I'm sure he has eyes so he can see if there are leaves.

I made a comment other day about a well know You tuber on here (Joe A) doing 187 on the autobahn in the M4 CSL and got blasted by several members about how “safe” it is. All I said was it looked dangerous. I gets it’s the autobahn and all but it’s still a public road.

Balls sure, but brains?

All it takes is a rabbit to jump out of the woods. There's no margin on that road.

Yeah
But it takes 0.2 seconds for the light signal travel to the brain cortex and another 0.2 seconds for the brain commands travel to muscles, if he drives at 100 miles per hour it means he already travels 60 feet before his reaction gets to car. So many things can happen in 60 feet.

Again, no one is disrespecting his driving. The driver is very capable of handling this car. It’s the simple perception that this is an open public road.

For all we know they are independently wealthy and had the road closed, professional camera crew, spotters, a lead and follow car, and medical team nearby.

But that’s not the perception we get on the internet. Which is why I will still share my tongue in cheek comments.

I'd love to see a video of a G80/2x in the hands of a best-of-the-best driver like Lewis, Max, Fernando, Kimi, etc. Not showing off with power slides, etc, but just wringing its neck for every 1/10th around a road or street course followed by a brief interview for their unfiltered comments.

I know those guys only drive hyper cars when not driving their race cars, but I bet even this group would be a little surprised with how good they'd say these cars are and what the car can do in truly talented hands.

Did you read the video description? It literally says on the very first line that the road was closed. Nobody has to guess.

The lowest common denominator of society’s drivers getting the wrong ideas is not a good reason for the rest of us not to get and enjoy these videos.

That’s why good drivers anticipate what’s coming. Going by your logic, nobody will be able to take fast corners.

Blind corner in a staged video? Do a dry run of the road at slow speeds first to check everything. Etc.

Blind corner in a road you’ve taken before? There could be a car stopped. Are you ready to brake and swerve if needed?

Blind corner in a road you’ve never done? Use nav to anticipate the degree of the curve. But use lower limits to account for unancipated changes in the surface or other unknown conditions.

Also I’m pretty sure the video has speeds in kmph - so when it says 100 - he’s only doing around 60 mph. 100 mph looks a lot faster than what’s in the video.

Yea for sure. Also it’s very possible this person has been on these roads before and has pretty good idea of what to expect. I doubt this first time ever.

Right. Just like all those videos “filmed in Mexico”
