2022 M4 Convertible seat question?

I went to test drive a new G82 and being 6'5" I need the set low and reclined a bit. My current 2020 M4 does but the one I test drove would not let me. Every time it was fully moved back it would not let me recline or if you dropped the seat it would move the back up from recline. Does anyone have a convertible that they can make a video of the drivers seat all the way down, back and fully reclined?

TIA this would be a deal breaker for me.

Carbon bucket seats, or standard seats? I have standard seats and can help with this.

I am 6'3 and have 36/37 inch sleeves and 35-inch inseam and am just fine. The real question is what are your proportions? Tall torso or more legs/arms.

I am about an inch or so longer in inseam and arm length. I have no problems with my 2020 M4 and was wondering if it was a software problem in the car?

I don’t have a place to upload the video. My seats barely recline when the seat is all the way back. If I move the seat up, then I can recline more. So, mine seems to behave like the G82 you test drove.

That does suck. I sat in a 440 and the seats went back just fine. I also sat in an M3 with the same results.

Please do thank you. Somebody also said the same thing. If you recline the seat the further back or low you go it raises the back up.

Did you ever check the seat position?

Yeah, it's the same as reported here. When all the way back it won't recline much at all. I have my seat all the way down and I can go all the way back, but the recline is almost nothing when 100% back (it is a very slight tilt to keep it from being 100% upright)

I find that extremely odd but I can't get any answers to why this is. Thank you for checking I still ordered mine today.

Has anyone figured out a fix for this? I have had the car for 2 weeks and it is so uncomfortable to drive with the seat up so straight I am considering giving it up.

My guess is that the seats won't allow you to position them in a way that prevents you from putting in the wind deflector. I was worried when I went to pick up the car because I wanted to set the seat as far back as possible and as I did, the seatback kept automatically raising itself upright. I had never seen a car seat do this before.

Regardless, I was able to find a comfortable position and I feel that these seats are the most comfortable car seats that I've ever sat in. And I'm 6'6" 325lbs. I do wish I could get the seat to go maybe an inch lower, but after driving for a while it doesn't bother me. And my line of sight is great. I feel I'm looking straight through the middle of the windshield.

I wonder if there will be a way to modify the programming of the seat to allow the full range of motion when the seat is all the way back.

Did anyone find a solution to this problem?

Did you ever find a solution to push the seat further back?

Nope and I’ve tried everything and every person. I had a coding guy say he could do it but I have not been able to get him to actually do the coding.

Did you ever get it fixed or did you give up yet?
