I have to say that my M8C was beastly fast. Certainly faster than my 992 GTS4. I presume the M5C is the same. But damn, the M8C is not only heavy, you felt every pound of it. Oddly, on paper, the M4 is only a couple hundred pounds lighter than the M8, but it drives completely different. But in terms of weight, both are a faaaar cry from any 911.

I hate to answer a question with a question, but what hole are you looking to plug in your car lineup? I mean, that GT3 is perfect (the visual spec is *chef's kiss*) and you have a GT4 and a Raptor. It would seem that something more vanilla and less visceral, while still having all performance...like an M5...would be the right fit. A pure sports car, a performance luxury sedan and a performance truck makes for a hell of a garage.

I'd change nothing in your shoes.

I agree. The M3 will do nothing and be about as boring of a car as you can get with that stable. M5 V8TT with exhaust will fit in perfectly, however.

Point taken but I'm on F90 M5 #2 and getting bored. Lease is up next summer. Need a new daily driver.

I do currently have the M titanium exhaust which does sound pretty good. No interest in the silly looking M exhaust on the M3, though.

In that case, go for it and get an M3. It'll be something different than your M5. I still don't get it though. The M3 won't be as raw as your GT4, as visceral as your GT3 or as useful as your Raptor. It's more of a Swiss Army knife for those that don't already have a bunch of specialized tools. It seems the gap in your collection is something that can eat up highway mileage in a smooth and comfortable setting with a lot of tech. The M3 can do that, but the M5 is a better tool for it. I'd even consider an M8 or 850i Gran Coupe.

Are either of your Porsches manuals? If not, I’d like to plug the base manual M3. I enjoy it a lot more than my Comp X drive.

It’s unreal lately on fun car purchase front. Supply and demand and pricing clearly mismatched for any good sports car seems.
Thankfully my M4 still is sticker so will get a new ones again in a few years
I have driven the 4RS multiple times
it is a very good car but I do believe it is overhyped in particular if you pay ADM. It is not a 250 k car
I will take a gt3/3rs anytime over a 4rs

Awesome. Had a 991.2 GT3 in Lava Orange. Great car. Drove the 991.1 RS but not the .2; I'm sure it's a great car.

The TTS is a beast but the exhaust note is so boring!

I'm in line for the 992.2 GT3, whatever it is.

The GT4 is manual, but is actually the wife's car. She lets me drive it from time to time .

The GT3 is PDK because PDK-S is so good. All my non-GT 911s have been manual.

Agreed - not a $250k car, especially on an old platform. As great as the 718 drives, it feels extremely dated compared to the rest of the current Porsche lineup.

I will highly recommend an RS either 991 or 992
GT3 is great , but as they say on RL, RS is RS
RS is a different beast
the minimal increase in HP is deceptive , because the mid range torque in RS transforms the drive and the bigger tires on the back, the more emotional sounds coming from intake , and other suspension tweaks make RS completely different and addictive

The ZF8 is competent but my vote is go for the manual.

Yeah, the Panamera is on my radar. I don't want the hybrid and the base model is too slow so I'm waiting to see what the full lineup looks like. Its a big car, though.

116” wheelbase and length is only a few inches shy of an X7. They tried to reshape it in this latest generation to look less like an egg, so that’s a plus. I drove an S a few years ago - fast, but more limousine than sports sedan.
