What are you waiting on?
When I bought my 440 in 2016, UK shipments were originating from Cuxhaven - not sure if that is still the case. I'm waiting on an M340i.

Probably that's why it isn't available.
It was working fine this morning when I got an update on my order, which is now on the way to the dealer.
Sounds like you're on track for next week then! :-) Mine is still on 9000 (since last Friday first thing), not sure how it can take that long to get it from the factory to the port but hey ho. How long did yours wait at the stages from 9000 until now?
It was very quick, a day or so, I guess a train straight from Munich to Bremerhaven. The ship to Southampton took a bit longer and am now waiting for it to arrive in Scotland.

I did log into the webcam at one point but difficult to guess which train it was on was a challenge!

Good that our vehicles were not on this car transporter and glad all the crew were rescued.

I think you will find for Scotland that it will almost certainly be Munich - Cuxhaven and then by sea to Immingham.

Mine is now 9605 - Pre EU port of exit (basically waiting to be loaded on the ship). What delivery w/c have you been quoted? Mine is 23rd Sept. dealer is still confident I'll get delivery by 30th Sept.

I was scheduled for week 37, but has now slipped to week 38. I chased dealer who said that the build was completed on the 27th August and he's not had an update on it since. Oooof.

The lack of information, and visibility, is very frustrating.

I'm going to assume end of Sept too given your information.

You don't have a BMW order number then I guess?

Sadly not, just a (I assume) local order/quote number.

Is it a lease or private purchase? If private the dealer should give you the number, starts with a 4, 7-digits long. Lease companies seem very dependent upon the dealer they pass the order to. I got mine (from Inchcape) without any issue but other people haven't been so lucky... It's a poor show if they've not given you an update since late August. It only take 3 minutes on the BMW Website to talk with Genius and they'll tell you, as long as you have the order number...

Not sure home many times a week the ship sails. One of the other orders I saw sat at 9605/10 for about the 5/6 days. Guess its one of those things where you could arrive just before it sails and be lucky or just after the last one went!? I'm still on 9605 as of a few hours back...

The shipping movements for Southampton are listed here:

http://www.southamptonvts.co.uk/live...ned_movements/

UECC are one of the main shipping companies. Their schedule can be found at:

https://uecc.com/pdfschedule/schedule.pdf

If the cars are at Cuxhaven port, then possibly the Prometheus Leader sailing from Cuxhaven 13/9 arriving at Southampton 15/9?

LOL! You found me out.

Seriously, credit should go to Daftasabrush for his input in the Great Race thread in 2016 when Grant_7, RichMB and myself were waiting for our cars.

Happy days, it was indeed a great race and a great thread!

BMW tracking is excellent, my JLR experience this summer was somewhat worse - but the tortoise won anyway!

Still got the GC crazybones ?

Sadly, I sold my 440 last month. It was a great car. Now waiting on a M340i.

I did visit a JLR showroom as I do like the Discovery but the lack of the equivalent to Enhanced Bluetooth with the ability to connect 2 phones was a showstopper for me.

Yes, that would be right. From Drammen, it heads to Cuxhaven then Southampton.

If your status changes on Friday to 9620 At Sea, you'll know which ship to follow. That of course is dependent on the port being Cuxhaven!

M340i looks like a stunning bit of kit. I've not sat in a new 3, but from photos and reviews it seems to fix the few flaws of the F3x.

I'm enjoying floating about in a torquey diesel, but can't say that I don't occasionally eye an empty sliproad wistfully, remembering what the B58 could do in the mid/upper ranges.

Look forward to seeing pics of your new one.
