I know there’s a 3.2020.xx out there, but the latest OTA update released is the one yesterday (15/7) - 11.2019.70, which is the one I and others got. Previously I was on 11.2019.30 before yesterday.

Not sure what the reasoning is for releasing the OTAs at a delayed/staggered rate to the actual latest version available.

So if you keep taking your car in for updates (amongst other excuses to get it cleaned!), then chances are you won’t be due any OTA updates until they catch up to the version you’ve got from the dealer.

I’ve not noticed anything ground breakingly different from 11.2019.30 to .70 - oh the electric driving in low emissions cities option is there, don’t think that was there before. Looks a bit of a mess to be honest, a jumbled list of international cities of which there's London and Birmingham for the U.K. other than that, not noticed anything else (though happy to be corrected if this feature was always there!)

My new 330e MSport should be delivered tomorrow (fingers crossed). I will have a look and see which version it has (once I have worked out how to do that!)

I don't think the OTA is made up just takes longer.

My sunroof wouldn't close yesterday so booked her in today. All software related error codes so they reinstalled the sunroof program and asked BMW UK if they should do an update and they said yes so completely unexpected. They did say it would be out OTA by the end of the year but my battery was for some reason at 40% as well which may impact any OTA update. So they also fully charged it.

You have to find a reason to request an update because they can't claim it as warranty work.

A few things I've noted:

Car picture in idrive is an actual M340i in my cars colour p blue.
The parking assistant space finder is grey until it finds a space and then turns orange when it finds a space it can park in
Navigation maps looks slightly different in that the graphics seem clearer but can't say I've noticed anything with the cloud maps. Will test that more.
No new internal light colours

I haven't tried apple carplay or android auto yet.

The update didn't cause any issues with settings and instantly connected to connected drive when I put my phone in the car.

All in all good.

Car has version 03/2020.40. Hope this helps.
