Not-so-great first day of ownership (330i Portimao Blue)
One month ago... it's 4pm and I'm at my local dealer taking delivery after a 3 month wait. Fast forward 3 hours later and I have a neighbour knocking at the front door to explain what she had just done. Apologetically she explains she'd misjudged her reverse and hit the front of my car (which, mind you, was parked kerbside on a very wide street!). The towball on her Forester went right through, and with only 24km's on the clock, I couldn't believe it
Anyhow, such is life and all is getting fixed as I write this (to the tune of a $10,500 repair bill - the most expensive part being the lane change assist radar at 5.8k). As a first time BMW owner (coming from a 2017 Audi A5) I struggle to fault anything with the 330i. Portimao blue is stunning in all lighting, the handling is great, and I feel it has just the right amount of power for what I would need. Oh, and the oyster interior + open-pore wood combination looks stunning if I do so say so myself (excuse the iPhone photos for now!) |

Jesus that doesn't look like a slow reversing tap lol she probably gave it some gas when she felt resistance as well
Anyway she's a good neighbour still if she comes to your house to let you know immediately. Car looks great in Portimao.. can you share some pics of the interior? |

Sorry to hear this , must be gutted.
Can't believe the cost of that lane assist radar! You can how easy it is to write off cars like this with what what on the surface doesn't look too bad. |
