G21 spec.
Hi all, It's time to start looking for the G20 330e replacement. One child later and I think its going to be a G21 330e lci. Should keep my e91 330d company.
Initially I was going for the pro pack but I hate run flat tyres and it deletes the adaptive suspension so that's a hard pass. I have the option to spec the HK stereo for an extra £15 a month on the CC scheme. and I'm wondering if its worth it over the standard stereo. I have no complaints of the standard stereo in my G20 but if the HK is miles better then I'll add it. I have 3 spec options currently in my basket. Which would you choose? My g20 is a MY20 and no options and I'm perfectly happy with it. 1. G21 330e msport Individual Tanzanite blue sensatec seats anthracite trim HK stereo Pano roof sun protection glass. 2. G21 330e msport Individual Tanzanite blue Oyster leather piano trim sun protection glass 3. G21 330e msport skyscraper metalic sensatec seats anthracite trim sun protection glass comfort plus pack |

I'm not sure the M Sport Pro pack deletes adaptive suspension ... it's more a case of it's supposed to be part of the Pro pack but is being deleted - probably impacted by component shortages.
I don't think you'll get adaptive suspension by not having the Pro pack. The configurator description is "Available as standard on M340i/d xDrive models. Available as part of the M Sport Pro Pack on M Sport models" and wouldn't let me add it as an individual option when I tried. I've got the Comfort Plus pack on my G26 and I'm really happy with it. Less so the HK audio - it's something of a disappointment. The HiFi I had on a couple of F25 X3s had a much punchier bass. My last G01 X3 came with the basic 6 speaker sound which was truly dreadful. I guess there's nothing wrong with the HK except the price tag ... for £820 I expected more.

It's purely an aesthetic package here in Canada except for the inclusion of the Shadowline Adaptive Headlights. |

As above the pro pack shouldn't delete the adaptive suspension it may well just be some parts shortages at the moment.
I agree run flats are awful but I'm not personally a fan of the G20/21 in non pro pack spec. For me there is too much chrome and I'm not a fan of 18" wheels - purely for the visual reason. Although ironically I'm in a loan car at the moment with 18s and non run flats and much prefur the ride Otherwise for me it would be pan roof, HK sound (much better than standard but I agree not the best around) and the HUD. Not sure what pack this is on these days as mine is a pre LCI. Colour wise I'd go Skyscraper purely because Tanzanite is widely known to be as bad as black to keep clean and free of swirl marks. Although again, what do I know I spec'd mine in black A good ceramic coating will help massively thought! |

18 and non RFT are a must for me which means the pro pack is out. Roads are too chopped up. The 18 do look terrible design wise I'll admit. My g20 is on 18s and the ride is perfect for me. Lets be honest the 330e touring isn't a sports car so why pretend by making it uncomfortable.
I saw tanzanite in the showroom and I thought it looked great. Skyscraper is ok but needs the front grill to be black to pull it off. Tanzanite suits the chrome grill better imo. I don't want portimao blue again. The red looks good but needs the black bits of the pro pack to pull it off. I did think of black but my e91 is black, oyster leather and piano trim. I did think it would be funny to order the g21 in the same spec as my e91. I think I'll go without the HK stereo and opt for a heated steering wheel and lumbar support. Comfort over looks, heated steering wheel for warm hands in winter and lumbar support for my aching back. Jesus Christ I'm turning into an old man. |

See if you can test drive a car shod with Goodyear F1s before completely ruling them out. Of all of the RFT tyres they perform most like non+RFTs.
If you can tolerate those (which I expect toy will) then it opens up a whole range of options otherwise rules out. I think the 330e with its heavy batteries in the back really benefits from adaptive suspension. If it’s not available right now then I’d be very tempted to sit on your cash until it is. |

What about pro pack and swap the rfts for non rfts as soon as you get it. This way you get the adaptive dampers and don’t have the harshness. Sell the factory tyres or keep to put back on when you get rid. |

Incase I didn’t make my self clear in the opening post. This is a company car. Swapping tyres to non rft is not an option.
I’d also be looking at a 340 touring instead of a 330e. |

Mine comes with a small compressor and a gunk bottle.

I'd go for a 330e over a 340i, just feels a bit more special...

I'd stick a solid recommendation in for the panoramic roof. In the g21 it's mega. Other than that I personally love the laser lights and the driver assistant pro package for motorway miles.

Sun protection glass is a must. I carry medical equipment and parts that has quite a lot of value and need the extra security of the tinted glass. Also its for my 10 month old son to stop the sun blinding him when he’s in his seat.
I think I’ve decided. Tanzanite Sensatec Aluminium trim Pan roof Laser lights Sun protection glass |

Sun protection glass vital for me too. It's subjective but I think the G21 looks cheap without.

I totally agree. It should be standard across all models, and be a no cost option to delete it.
