Awesome color! If I wasn’t in my current situation, I’d go for it.. think I’m finally coming around to the idea of not being in a full ///M for 3 years. Yes, the monthly payments do bother me, but it is a new gen. I figure the G80 will be more, M5s are going for 1500-1600 month here.

Money factor has skyrocketed ever since someone special has taken office. I don't see them getting any better, either. What is the MF that the dealer is giving you? What is base MF?

The orange one has certainly singled out BMW! But yes, the MF sucks this year!

I agree! That’s why I was afraid to wait for G80, the payments for the G20 are insane, compared to 2016. I know it’s a new gen. and all, but payments ranging into the mid 900s for a 3 series non M!?

Mid 900 is ridiculous. I know a fantastic client advisor with way better deals. I referred my friend to him and his payment was like 600 with almost zero down on a 47k car.

I was quoted about $900/month for a 3yr/45k lease for a 60k MSRP build and 3k down at my local BMW dealer, which is ridiculous for a car that's not even a full blown M car. Expect to pay $1100+ for the new M3 when it comes out next year.

I was quoted $799 (39 month) with $4,400 out of pocket on a $60,000 M340. I laughed.

I wouldn't put too much stock in what you were quoted now. I'm sure plenty of people are going to see $60K cars with $650-$700 payments depending on the deals they get. That being said, it wouldn't surprise me if the new M3 is that much more expensive given the difference between the base MSRP of the 330i and the M340i.

Agreed. If the RV improves even 1-2%, and we can get 10% (or more) off MSRP discounts, a 56K MSRP could be had for 600/mo (assuming 10% sales tax).

At the end of the day, it's still "just" a 3 series. BMW knows they can't price the lease of their bread and butter vehicle at or above Porsche rates.

Hello everyone, I'm new to leasing here and targeting the M340i. Very exciting times for everybody!

Quick question in regards to Discount % off MSRP - do you think we will see more aggressive discounts once the M3 comes out / a few years into production (when it's not so "new"), or should dealers be about the same level of aggression bc they're always looking to get a deal done?

Also, is a car on the lot vs build from the factory generally going to increase % off MSRP?

To your first question, the discount off MSRP will increase as the model year ages. Since the M340 is being released as a MY20 model, I would think after 3-6 months into production, dealers will be more likely to "heavily" discount the selling price as compared to now.

You should be able to negotiate a discount off selling price of a vehicle you build from the factory, and for that's already on the dealer's lot. If a vehicle has sat on the lot for a long period of time, perhaps a dealer will discount it a bit more to move it, but you shouldn't operate under the mindset that discounts to be had are less on custom ordered vehicles.

Has anyone else just given up? Buying a car is the worst. I’m a 27 year BMW client. I’m willing to walk away at these prices. Does BMW understand F30 335 and 340 owners don’t want a 330?

Thank you very much. So best-case scenario sounds like a custom build in a year or so (not that I will force myself to wait!).

Quoted $805 for 36/10k on euro delivery. 60k M340xi and 3k down... I’m trying to get it below 700 to make sense to me.

You can do better!

I'd say try to get around $680-ish with $500 or less OTD. It's possible to get the car $2-3k under invoice if you fight a little bit.

I was able to get under $700 with very little down.

Good luck!

Now that the US configurator is live, I went on and had some fun.

Pretty close to fully loaded and the online lease quote came out to $923.48/mo(10k/year and $2500 down). Should be interesting to see what people end up paying.

Hey guys first time poster (and bmw owner) and wanted to get your opinion on this lease deal. It seems pretty bad to me but maybe is the best I can do:

MSRP: 65705
Sale price: 62500
Invoice: 61710
Rebate: 1000
Down payment: 3000
MF: 0.00215
Residual: 0.59
Acq fee: 925
Doc fee: 100
Total tax is 2490.94

Monthly payment is 889.50

I tried to haggle as best I could but salesman would not budge and states this is the absolute best offer he can provide. This is also my first time working on a lease deal. I forgot to mention that I qualify for the recent college grad discount so that would be another 1,000 off. But does this seem like a good deal? The MF seems really high (5.16%). However, this is the only other car in the lot. The other 2 have already been bought and this one has the precise color, interior that I wanted. It also drove like a beast. Any input from your experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If it were me, I'd buy a used m3/m4 and you'd be paying the same or less depending on down payment and interest. Even the finance guy told me that BMW's mf has gotten really high..

2017 m3's are in the mid 50 to high 50k range price wise with low mileage.
