Been in meetings all day so complete rush when it arrived but am very happy.
It's clearly been standing at port for a while (it was a cancelled order) and got dirty on the low loader coming here which wasn't great but still.

Brief impression are the drive is so much nicer than the 320d and the start stop with mht suits petrol more than the derv.

It's definitely quieter than my 340i was and less burbles even with the flap open but I'm sure it will get louder with time as the f31 did.

It's such a nice feeling having decent power available again and the xdrive means your confident to go for gaps etc. Not that I have floored it anywhere but even slightly pressing on to 4.5k revs it shows she will be a monster when run in. Let alone with a tuning box

We went away for a long weekend in the loaner 320d so I'm now sure the g20 boot can handle a long weekend with 2 kids and dog which was good. While I would have preferred another touring I bagged a Q1 deal for the g20 by chance a couple of weeks ago on a cancelled order. Pure luck it came back into stock as I was looking and they honoured the price, no pcp or other lease can get close cost wise especially with maintenance and tech pack.

Will take some proper photos when cleaned properly but I'm smiling!

Congrats! Even keeping below 4500 rpm it's still pretty brisk, enjoy the new car!

In isolation the new 4 has grown on me, and I do like it in M4 guise, but when you see this you realise what a dogs dinner they've made with 'that' grille. This just looks so much cleaner, and I prefer the cerium over the shadow line I've got to say.

Nice brief - all the sweeter given the deal you got

Cheers yes very chuffed.
I agree about the shadow pack the black wheels look smaller than they are and the black makes the grille look bigger to me but ETTO.

I really like the red callipers more than I thought I would, especially against the celirium wheels and white paint. Shame about the ride height but that's xdrive for you.

Congrats mate, she's a beauty! You'll love it when you can be more liberal with your ankle on the go pedal! And as you say, tuning box as well!

M-sport suspension on the G20/21 xDrive models lowers the suspension 10mm, just like RWD.

I found a thread that bears this out. I thought the adaptive might have been different, but that doesn't seem to affect it.

Very unique colour scheme on that. I really like it. Try to resist the attraction of the dark side (black mirrors and grill).

Trust me it's better it arrives dirty than BMW putting it through a car watch resulting in lots of scratches.

I think some of the comments regarding xDrive are based on users believing the M-sport suspensions are still too high.

BMW release data specifically stated the 10mm drop for M-sport and M-Adaptive suspensions on xDrive models. Same as they did for the G30/31 xDrive models.

Looks lovely and really well in that colour. BMW have got the alloy wheel design spot on for the car also imo.

Congrats and enjoy!

The only model that is slightly lower is the RWD M340i with the fixed suspension. It's not much less but it's a few mm lower than the M Adaptive Suspension on the x-drive models (with the 10mm drop).

Managed a quick wash and some quick detailer to get some beading. I think side profile is best.

Other things I've noticed..
As its a certain build I am plagued by bl00dy Lane assist not remembering the off button which is a pain. Hopefully the ota update comes soon!
It has the tetragon interior which I like.
I have rekindled my relationship with the shell optimax pump!
