Question Ordering with sunroof delete?

Has anyone tried to order without speccing a sunroof? I usually order without one and I’m not seeing it on the 2020 pricing/order guides like I usually do. I hope it’s still available to do.

Looks like it’s not on any of the other models pricing/order guides like it was for the 2019s.

I would ask dealer about an individual order, maybe it can be done? Have not heard of anyone doing it

My e46 M3 had it, but I don't think I have seen one since.

It's doable in Europe. Haven't seen a G20 done without the sunroof in the US.

Just curious, why would you want a sunroof delete?
I am new to this forum and this would be my first post.
I always had the curiosity why do people would want to delete the sunroof.
Is it because you want a stiffer car?
Personal question: I know people who are allergic to the sun. Is this your case?

Here in the U.K. I was able to spec out the sliding roof which helped to tip the balance to buy as I could not do this with a M Benz.

I had two previous cars which had sliding roofs and found I never used them. It was a waste of money for me. If I was a smoker perhaps I would.

Cannot honestly see the use of them. They are expensive, can be drafty, let in the noise and a distraction. But each to his own!

Various reasons for doing this. It lowers the car’s center of gravity slightly. Whether you can actually feel this in daily driving is up to the individual. It does increase headroom, which is nice. I personally never use the sunroof, and would welcome a little bit of extra headroom — useful if you’re tall, like a higher seating position, wear hats a lot (I do) or wear helmets for track days.
