very smooth on my end. a Bit bumpy on concrete road of PA...but love it. Only time you can feel the trans is if you put the car in sport mode and send the gear selector to the left. Then you really feel the power and the shifting of this car. The torque as well is fantastic. Get one. you will not be disappointed.

Can only image how it will feel in the summer, I have a usual non-RFT tires for that.
This is not true. You can spec the car online with the usual run flat all seasons.

But not here in Germany We can spec only summer tires, and have to buy winter separately from the dealer, and he can sell you only RFT for 18" rims.

I just got mine on Monday and I love it. But I came from a 98 M3, 01 S4 and 05 A4 so this is a dream. It's like having 3 cars in one. If you are just cruising with the family to have dinner or go out, put it in eco mode and chill. Comfort mode is nice as well when you don't want or need to rip on it. Sport + is a beast!!! Definitely my preferred driving setting. I use this about 90% of the time so far.

When I am in a playful mood and in Sport+/Sport Individual - the car just shifts so fast and efficiently, it is effortless to start breaking speed limits on the street. It has the Dr. Jekyall and Mr. Hyde personality down to a tee. It can be a docile grocery getter and with a press of a button, you can unleash a monster.
+1. The M340i is sneaky fast.

Beyond the drivetrain, the solidity of the body structure has something to do with it too. It feels very safe and controlled at hyperlegal speeds.

Yeah I love finding an excuse to hit it in sport plus. Slide the back out a bit around a corner in the rain, makes me want to push it alittle harder to see where the limit is.

Get the M ADAPTIVE SUSPENSION -

which is a $700 addon.
Its makes it smoother, but quickly changes to sport mode without pressing any button. Then it goes back to smooth mode, when you release the gas pedal.

I think the OP was asking about the drivetrain, not the suspension.

I actually started implementing this but my speed warning is at 80 mph, at least I give my self a little buffer before really getting into trouble with speeding. lol

I'm going to say they are replicas. They have the little square cutout where the M logo would go but there's nothing there.

I have similar ones only matte black and 19 inch.

Yes guys those rims are 18inch square setup replica for winter only and I run the Nokian tires hakkapellita R3 which are amazing! The stock rims are black ones 19inch staggered!

Oh damn ok! Its one of my favorite style wheels.
I like the 19inch ones that came with the car but for me the recent wheel designs are so flat, no character. I might look into something a bit more concave for the summer.
