Right now I'm just taking a break from NFL. Players have a right to free speech and I respect that. I just don't like them protesting in uniform and that's my choice not to like it as it is their choice to protest. I'm sure I'll watch again after the dust settles. Ownership/leadership is between a rock and a hard place.

I know if I chose to protect while in uniform my coaches growing up would have had my ass for it and even though I was a star player I would have been benched.

To me this quite the same as going to a concert and listening to a performer sharing their political views. I came to listen to a concert. Can they do it? Sure. Should they do it? If they want. Do I have to like it? No way.

Anyway, I'm enjoying NCAA football this year and taking time off from NFL. The 49ers suck anyway so its not that hard a give up for me.

Every American should have a working knowledge of English within a certain time of migrating for if nothing else communicating emergencies, but also so they can advance themselves in society with jobs, etc. Without it they are at an extreme disadvantage. My wife did it in 2 years. Zero to speaking conversationally. It's not hard if it's required. This would be a government program worth funding.
