E46 3-Series.

The execution is not the same. It matched the e46. It looks out of place on this model.

The vent is still cut out on the fender panel but it is blocked off by the solid bimmerrang and a plastic panel in the wheel well, which used to have a hole connecting to the air vent and to the bimmerrang. So if you really wanted it, you could get a pre-LCI bimmerang and replace the wheel well panel but like I said, if there was such a benefit, BMW would have never removed/blocked the side vent on the LCI.
My bad, wasn't aware the LCI 4er's bimmerang was only cosmetic. Well then it seems as though they have been bullshitting us since the beginning with the alleged aero benefits of extracting the air out of the wheel wells through those vents, in order to cater to the buyers who are willing to embrace the 'green' agenda or simply willing to spend less on fuel while there is in fact no measurable benefit. Why otherwise are there no actual vents on recent models such as the X3/X4 while the trim piece is still there fooling most people? 🤔 BMW would certainly keep using all possible means, especially one as easy as punching a hole through the fender, if it helped decrease fuel consumption even a tiny bit in an era of such stringent emission standards and harsh competition, wouldn't they?

I don't see anything to too exciting here. Nothing much different.

I would like to see upgraded Steering Wheels and cooler Rims on all 3 Series models!
And NO fake plastic vents, ONLY functional ones wanted.

The metallic turquoise color is kinda of tacky.

Really what they're doing is just trying to bridge the gap between what is current and the iSeries which is the future.

Exactly, that should be expected!

The Steering Wheel and Dashboard looks nice as well as the air conditioning vents. But I want to be wowed. I want the 3 Series to be more aggressive looking over all but still sophisticated.

Personally I think every BMW should come with an quality M Steering Wheel! And why the hell not? It is the one thing that connects you the driver to the vehicle.

Not ever demographic BMW G20 customer wants a M steering wheel; if you want it, then order a M Sport or wait for the G80/82/83 then.

Everybody agrees....the press, the people, and BMW themselves, that the F30 was a mediocre BMW. It's not even up for debate, you have a better chance of arguing that the Earth is flat!

F30 and f10 were low points for bmw. The cars got too soft and bloated during that generation while competitors got sharper and more agile. Bmw seem to be upping their game with the g-gen cars.

Those gloss black command buttons are almost as indefensible as that hideous digital cluster.

Both are inexcusable... making feel like I'm driving a damn Buick/Lincoln or some sh*t.....

Fair amount of complaining for a car that hasn't even been fully shown yet...not at all surprising

You're wrong, my 2017 340i is a great drive! And I've read plenty of road test reviews which agree! It's an improvement over all previous 3 series cars, just maybe not in areas YOU would like (eg steering feel may not be the best) it's just that the competition has caught up and the BMW is no longer necessarily best in class (though some reviewers still say it is) calling it mediocre is complete b0110x frankly!!!
