License plate screw size?
Okay... so I ordered a frame for my license plate, but my original screw is too short and the two different sets of screws I tried to use don't fit.
This is probably stupid question, but what size screws are originally for the North American G20s? |

Realoem.com will have the real parts diagrams for your car. Once you find the BMW part number for the screw from realoem, you can type the part number that you find into google and order online, it should also have a description of the screw

Actually it is 4 screws and you can choose to put 2 if your frame comes with just 2. I was in the same boat few days back. The size actually is M5x0.8 x 8mm or even M5x0.8 x 12mm should fit. I got one from ebay from seller "Macchina Veloce". The challenge with M340 was that the base plate is now plastic and not metal with no nice metal grooving for the screws to fit. Anything which is a flat screw will not work right away. You would need those pointed self screw type ones at least in my car that was the case. I did manage to use the ones I bought from ebay by first driving in one of the pointed screw and then using the ones I bought from ebay. My car came with just 2 on top and I bought a separate frame from amazon with all 4 screws and hence was in need for all 4. My local Home Depot did not carry these metric version screws.
